Oh Melanie! What happened! :(
BOMBSHELL: Melanie Oudin was 32-7 from Charleston-US Open 2009!!moodin0931 Jul 8th, 2011, 08:38 AM Oh Melanie! What happened! :( Wert. Jul 8th, 2011, 09:11 AM Impressive  Hope she can overcame this :o Pops Maellard Jul 8th, 2011, 09:35 AM Well after the '09 USO she complained over the expectation that came with her great run. I guess she was immature and not ready for it. Blame Pova and her 21 DFs. :p Daniel Jul 8th, 2011, 10:24 AM She wasnt ready to handle the expectation and became useless player Smitten Jul 8th, 2011, 10:25 AM Safina was #1 for the majority of this time beginning in Rome, so this is not surprising. Solitaire Jul 8th, 2011, 10:27 AM Blame Pova and her 21 DFs. :p Mmmmm I thank her for all those yummy DFs it was awesome. stangtennis Jul 8th, 2011, 10:29 AM Oh Melanie! What happened! :( Much easier to have a good win-loos record playing ITFs and WTA qualifiers than playing WTA main draws. 22 out of those 32 victories were in two 50k ITFs + Wimbledon qualifiers + WTA qualifiers. Besides her Wimbledon and US Open runs with 7 GS MD wins, only 3 other were WTA MD wins, in 4 WTA MDs entered. In these 3 WTA MD wins she defeated a WC player who's was not even in the WTA rankings (Hilary Barte) + #141 Olga Savchuk + #29 Aleksandra Wozniak. So outside Wimbledon and US Open the only remarkable victory she had was defeating #29 Aleksandra Wozniak; her only other top 120 win was defeating #85 Varvara Lepchenko. Win - loss record devided into different qualifier and main draw categories: ITF 50k: 10 - 0 WTA Q: 9 - 0 GS Q: 3 - 1 WTA MD: 3 - 4 GS MD: 7 - 2 Total: 32 - 7 Imperfect Angel Jul 8th, 2011, 10:38 AM no wonder people thought she was the future of USA women tennis and even considered as the future world #1.:spit: :haha: RenaSlam. Jul 8th, 2011, 11:36 AM She sucks. Marlboro Jul 8th, 2011, 12:08 PM Her mind is in such a bad place, she's in the tennis version of hell. It's very hard to salvage a career from the place she's in. Jelena Dokic was in her league of "forgotten how to play" for a while, Vaidisova endured it for a few months before her retirement too. But with Oudin's marginal talent, it's going to be even more difficult to get her career back. GrassGOAT Jul 8th, 2011, 12:46 PM The other players were even suckier than her! moodin0931 Jul 8th, 2011, 12:48 PM It is still impressive even if in ITF's... Melange Jul 8th, 2011, 01:06 PM no wonder people thought she was the future of USA women tennis and even considered as the future world #1.:spit: :haha: she is one of the highest ranked teens and a pusher still can be world #1 Xepher Jul 8th, 2011, 01:09 PM Blast from the past. | |
