Well this was a public poll and not the "experts" making stupid calculations over the last 1,5 years like they did with their previous index.

This list, like any other, is based on mainly the past few years. Katy Perry >>> Mariah?:spit: I love Katy but she's in no way higher than her. Anyway, the top 5 are performers (who dance and entertain crowds). Not surprising people prefer to be entertained. BTW, Elton John :spit:

Well, relevance definitely counts here. People would remember the current acts who are hot nowadays. If this list/poll is made during 2005, Mariah will most probably top this (or Madonna since even these days she could still be #1).
