Not really excited...Lame players like Wozniacki, Zvonareva, Stosur, Oudin, Wickmayer, Pennetta,Bondarenko, Dulko and others have been having great success in the USO in the last 2 years....It's just boring to watch....

Err no. There HAS been a serious lack of quality matches at the US Open in the last few years.

honestly i've seen many good matches mostly because there were other kind of player from the usual ballbashers being on the high stages:shrug:

I have to agree that US Open has been a major disappointment in the last few years, albeit I watched next to nothing in the first rounds last year.

1. Always felt US is not that important comparing to the others. Don't know why, it's just the way it is. The organisation is great and ateendance is almost perfect, because the US crowd is awesome! But, I feel that Americans don't pay much attention to it. :p
2. Recently, only mugs have some luck there and matches haven't been that interesting. Night session is awesome, but it is a lack of quality, I don't know.
3. It is the last of the season, so it's special, and that's a good fact. ;)
Whatever, I'm totally looking forward to it like every other GS. :cheer:

I always like the USO for the enviroment. New York is amazing and the tournament organizers do a great job turning it into a great event. However, there haven't been many good matches in the last few years.

If Serena, Venus, and Kim are healthy though, it should be a well-contested tournament.

I'm looking forward to it! :bounce:

Yay! I hope to see Maria's serve ( :oh: ) and a demonstration of how a Williams sister can go deep playing at only 40% ... ( PLEASE :sobbing: )

And you know, I'm becoming nostalgic. Seeing Petra win Wimbledon is really a milestone... There is a new generation coming. So is it time for us to see the last moments of glory of the golden girls?

Mmmhh. Interesting.

Petra actually starting out the summer season in San Diego, at the Mercury Carlsbad Insurance Open, Aug 1st, 2011 in California. Caro, Clijsters and other notables I fail to remember are supposed to be there as well.

Toronto is the following week.
