Keothavong's is wrong, it's 111->94.

And another Brit, but outside top 100, Laura Robson 254->185

There are quite a few moves outside the top 100, mostly from qualifiers, and some from players who have fallen from the top 100 this week.

Some I noticed:

Romina Oprandi 67->109
Melinda Czink 262->169
Misaki Doi 133->107

Contrasting fortunes for the Bondarenkos:
Alona 104->130
Kateryna 126->102

And for the Rodionovas
Anastasia 79->105
Arina 212->184

Pironkova 33 ------> 48

I think that's pretty amazing considering everyone expected her to fall to around 90/100 at the start of the tournament. :p

Sabine the biggest improver :) Certainly by far in 2011. Was ranked 218 in March and now 27.

:help: so defensive. He was only stating facts.

Also, moving up or down 3 ranks isn't exactly much. It's only a big jump if you're in the top 10 considering how much more points are spreaded out.

Zvonapova
Jul 4th, 2011, 04:21 PM
Oudin :tears: :sad:

Well, she really can't blame anyone but herself. 6-1 6-0 against Ivanovic Round 1? Come on now lol. The results have been getting worse and I think it's time for all Americans to admit that little Mel was a half slam wonder who couldn't take the pressure of the expectations laid on her. At this point, it's probably better to focus on prospects with a little more promise that actually show up to compete like Christina McHale.

I'm sure the one the haters hate the most is:

Wozniacki 1 ---> 1 :haha:

Yeah Woz -still having not reached a GS final this year- has a huge lead over #2 : 2300 points. Seriously the WTA should do something about this, it's getting laughable.

Winning one match as Q in a 50k is impressive :eek:

Coming from qualifications and winning a MD match at a 50K gives you enough points to climb from over 1000 to Top 600. :lol:

It does not matter what Serena is ranked once she get's her groove back or Venus for that matter.

Serena has no points to defend for the next 11 months. She will be skyrocketing in the rankings.

No it does not.

Reaching additional 25k SF a week before, now that combined with the points from the 50k, does give you enough points.
