NOTE: Martina Hingis defends over half her points for the YEAR in January. Of course, she proved this summer that at 40% she's still better than all but the top fifteen or so. So detractors, dojn't get too het up by how low she'd drop if she doesn't defend her points. She could show up on one leg and defend half of them. But this IS the most significant part of the year for her.

NOTE: Jennifer Capriati only drops to #5. Maybe she DID do something in 2002 besides win OZ.

NOTE: Lindsay's freefall inthe rankings is over.

It's nice to know that even without playing OZ round Jelena will remain safely in top 10. Even if she will cut her schedule she won't miss Tokyo(tier I) I hope. So it's possible to gain some points there. :)

It's only going to take about a SF finish at OZ for Jenn to keep at least the #4 ranking.

Martina :hearts: will drop some but if healthy will have plenty of opportunities to move right back up. I am sure you are really hoping that she stays healthy Volcana. :)

Don't forget Scottsdale and Indian wells where she has a lot of points. She really does have a lot to defend so we can be sure she will be very motivated! :D Should be a great year for Martina. :kiss:
