aleks had never beaten her before and i didnt think she would today

even with the chances she had, this early into her comeback of course she's not going to be mentally tough enough to close out a player who has given her so much trouble in the past

It's great in a way but quite sad that she blew so many opportunities to at least win that set. Good week for her though! NOw the rest of the summer is no points to defend only going higher ;)

strycova is 2-0 against aleks before this match including a win on grass..and i dont think aleks has even managed to take a set off her before

aleks also, even before the injury had a tendency to let oppertunities and leads slip away
