Petkovic was ment to play Greta Arn in the first round but Arn got injured and now she's playing lucky loser Stephanie Foretz today.

Her draw WIMBLEDON 2011:

1st round vs world # 139

2nd round vs world # 122 or 124

3rd round vs world # 74 or 89

4th round another gimme with Schiavone struggeling on grass and grass court specialist Makarowa out in R1

Quarterfinal: probably the first Top 50 player but still great chances cause Azarenka, Pavlyuchenkova & Co are no grass court specialists either - but maybe Hantuchova

... tbc

:bounce:

This could easaliy be her 3rd major quarterfinal in a row!

She will continue to be "lucky" until she has to play a Williams. At the end it doesn't matter, because this will be another all-Williams final. Anything in between is just distraction.

Plus: Wimbledon quarterfinal would probably mean top ten for Petkovic!! :)

First German since Graf & Huber to be top ten??

What about Sharapova's Roland Garros draw?Or Wozniacki's US Open draw?

These sorts of things happen, this might be the easiest section at Wimbledon, but there's always an easier section in each Grand Slam (as other tournamets are smaller and thus they are more homogenious).

She's always getting cakewalk draws in slams. Nothing new.

Andrea lost to Chakvetadze last year. I dont think she's ever won a main draw Wimbledon match.

Her draws are always ridiculous. Of course she's getting to the QFs. She'll be crushed by whoever she meets there from Azarenka's section just like Sharapova did at the French.

I don't think so. It's quite random to have a # 74 the highest ranked player to meet in the first week of a Slam! This draw is as good as it gets but we'll se if she is able to go through! ;)

itīs not like Andrea is a Grass-GOAT
i think the 3rd quater is a huge opportunity for all players in to go far in a GrandSlam
Schiavone and Petkovic are not really good on Grass, any opponent with a good day can take them out
so itīs not a Good Draw for Andrea, itīs a great opportunity for the unseeded players in this Bracket
