Women Singles Events (max four players/Nation):

56 Direct Acceptances, based on WTA Entry-Ranking of 6/11/12 (= after Roland Garros 2012)
6 Final qualification places (ITF Places)
2 Tripartite Commission Invitation places
Any player nominated and accepted for the singles event will automatically be eligible for selection for womenís and mixed doubles events.


Women's Doubles

24 Direct Acceptances
8 Final qualification places (ITF Places)
The ITF will select doubles teams from doubles nominations received from NOCs for direct acceptance, taking into account the recognised international singles and doubles computer rankings of 6/11/12 and the number and names of players already accepted into the singles events. A maximum of four players, two doubles teams (max six competitors/country), from any one NOC may compete in the menís and womenís doubles events.


Mixed Doubles

12 Direct Acceptances
4 Final qualification places (ITF Places)
Mixed doubles teams will be selected from players that have been nominated for the singles and/or doubles events and will therefore already be on-site.

Any tennis player is eligible for nomination to the Olympic Tennis Event provided he/she is in good standing
with his/her National Association and the International Tennis Federation.
