Keywords: The Championships (http://www.tennisearth.com/tournament/season/The%20Championships-2011-1345.htm) | R.Federer (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/R.Federer) |R.Nadal (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/R.Nadal) |N.Djokovic (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/N.Djokovic) |A.Murray (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/A.Murray) |V.Williams (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/V.Williams) |S.Williams (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/S.Williams) |V.Zvonareva (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/V.Zvonareva) |M.Sharapova (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/M.Sharapova) |P.Kvitova (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/P.Kvitova)
With the season's third Grand Slam tournament just around the corner, the bets are on over who is likeliest to walk away with the silverware. Nadal, Djokovic or Federer, and is it Williamses turn again? But what do the experts think? Find Out...!

With top four contenders in the men's game pitted against each other in the later stages, and the women's draw wide open due to under preparations of the magnificient Williams sisters, our learned editors, like everyone else, found it to be a tough job to pick a winner. Though, true to form, here are their picks -
Ajay Tyagi -
http://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Serena_Williams.jpgSerena Williams (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/S.Williams) - Despite Wimbledon being only her second tournament after a year long injury hiatus, Serena Williams' contendership can never be ruled out. with the onset of the second week, Serena is likelier to find top form to get past the best in the business.

Roger Federer (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/R.Federer) - Ahttp://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Roger_Federer.jpgmidst the Nadals and the Djokovic's of the game, six time champion Roger Federer is still my favourite. The Swiss proved his mettle already by ending Dkokovic's fabulous 43 match winning streak and is, by all means, the most complete grasscourt player of all times in my opinion. This year, it has to be Fedex.

Karen Walker -
http://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Venus_Williams.jpgVenus Williams (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/V.Williams) - It may sound a little odd. But even as an outsider, venus Williams has a strong chance of capturing her sixth WImbledon title. As a 13th seed in 2005 and 23rd in 2007, Williams surprised everyone with her fabulous title runs and can pull off wonders this year too.

Rafael Nadal (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/R.Nadal) - Twhttp://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Rafael_Nadal.jpgo time champion Rafael Nadal has both the game and the fitness to take on the finest in the game. With the men's competition narrowing down to fabulous four - Djokovic, Federer, Murray and Nadal, the Spaniard seems to have an edge, especially after his recent glorifying success at Roland Garros.

Kushal Dev Sharma -
http://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Maria_Sharapova.jpgMaria Sharapova (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/M.Sharapova) - Though, the former World No. 1 struggled a lot with her inconsistency and recurring injuries last year - she is back and gradually regaining her A-form. Her recent exploits on court clearly suggest that the Russian is hungrier than ever to earn back her past glory and devastating form that saw her reach the pinnacle in Women's tennis.

Novak Djokovic (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/N.Djokovic) - Undoubtedly http://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Novak_Djokovic.jpgIce-Man Djokovic. His Roland Garros semis loss against Federer showed that the Serbian was a bit tired, but now that he has skipped Wimbledon warm-up tournaments - we will have a fresh Djoker, who is playing magnificently of late. I might sound bit bombastic, but at times it looks that he is from other planet - that swift court movement and enormous energy on court, its breathtaking stuff from the Serbian. Its his time to win his third Major outside Melbourne.

Gokul Pillai -
http://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Vera_Zvonareva.jpgVera Zvonareva (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/V.Zvonareva) - I will have to pick Zvonareva after a lot of thinking. She has improved her serve and has been a lot more consistent from the past few tournamnets. She is no new customer to choking but i feel she has a good chance of taking the Title this year, especially after her score settling win over Serena Williams recently in Eastbourne.

Novak Djokovic (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/N.Djokovic) - Amohttp://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Novak_Djokovic.jpgng the men, I feel Djokovic is liable to take the title as he has had ample rest after the French Open, will have enough hunger to win his dream title for the first time compared to Roger and Rafa...technicalities of his game have improved, with a superior first serve and quick movement around the court, my word - Djokovic.

Rohit Sharma -
http://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Wimbledon/Petra_Kvitova10.jpgPetra Kvitova (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/P.Kvitova)- After winning three premier level tournaments already, this left hander from Czech Republic is all set to better her last year's performance and is good enough for the best in the game. Her dominant wins over Kim Clijsters and Victoria Azarenka have given her the insurmountable confidence.

Rafael Nadal (http://www.tennisearth.com/player/R.Nadal) - Nadal undoubtedly hahttp://www.tennisearth.com/photos/Player/Rafael_Nadal.jpgs the game and the hunger to win his third title at SW19. After silencing the Swiss maestro in Paris, Nadal is read for the Serbian test and is, extremely likely to outmuscle a slightly under prepared Djokovic on grass.

Love how almost every editor took two different players, like they wanted to mention every player that is a favourite. No Murray on the men's side though..

I'm actually surprised that she's so under the radar, I mean, her form might not have been THAT good this year but she is last year's finalist so she knows how to play on grass

She lost to Stosur on grass. She is playing utterly horrific tennis, win over Serena be damned.
