Had a good day in Paris. The weather was really nice today and I had a good hit with Agnieszka! The draw for the Q for Roland Garros is out and I´m playing against Arruabarrena from Spain.
I´m playing tomorrow first match at 10o´clock on court no6. I hope to see many of you out there! :))

Great start for Sabine, the Spanish girl wasn´t an easy first match at all but Sabine obviously played a good match!
Great on 1st serve, good on return, no BPs for her opponent, all good!

well, all good except the low 1st serve percentage, Sabine can´t be satisfied with that at all, but that is a general problem of her, it should be at least around 60%, today she was on 46% 1st serves in, but well, that shouldn´t be a big problem in Q, next up is Savchuk then Bogdan or Ferguson, Sabine can only beat herself here, good luck for the next rounds! :)

Yeah she's more likely to tweet after wins. The first job isn't done yet, which is to get in the Main Draw. She may tweet more if she gets into the MD, which she should :D

Next round against Elena Bogdan. I don't know what to expect, because she's very young and dangerous. She beated de Brito in 3 sets and Ferguson in 2 :confused: But Sabine is already very experienced and she should win this and get into MD! :bounce:

To win 3 matches and qualify is never easy but my sense is Sabine will do well in the MD if she qualifies.

Pretty solid win for Sabine, Savchuk isn´t a no name, so the scoreline is definitely OK, not OK was her weak 2nd serve i 2nd set and the fact that she got broken at *53 in 2nd set, she often gives away her leads to easily...well, as I said, even average performances should be enough to qualify here, now against Bogdan, who had two pretty good wins here but never had any impressive results before, 2nd serve is the weak point of Bogdan, Sabine has to stay aggressive and she has to serve well,she also is the more experienced player, shouldn´t have any bigger problems here to qualify, good luck!

Yeah she had me a little worried after being 5-2 up and then only 5-4 and wasting mp's but overall the stats look decent.

Surprised the 2nd set was as tough it was. Amanmuradova's stats were horrendous in the 1st set. Sabine was making numerous winners and almost no errors, then the errors started mounting up in the 2nd. Hope someone who saw the match may give a report...

Sabine still a bit up and down but she'll know the focus must be sharper against a far stronger opponent in the next round.

1st serve % were 49 in second set, if its enough against such players it's ok. I guess she knows she has to play better to beat players like Zvonareva (she had 61% against Cibulkova and Li Na).

The sound Sabine's racket produces when she hits the ball is one of the most amazing on the tour; she hits so cleanly and flat, she can produce so much power just with her natural strenght. The match was just about Akgul being overpowered from the baseline; Sabine's serve was impressive too. In the second set, Lisicki started to hit more and more unforced errors and a few double faults too, giving Akgul the chance to lead 4*-3, but on clay, Akgul's serve is not as impressive as on hardcourts, especially since Lisicki was obliging herself to step into the court to return her opponent's first and second serves. Lisicki was really happy with her win, once again smiling and taking pictures with everyone, the only girl to do that so far in that MD competition.

Win or lose, Sabine will play a good match.

I believe she can win, not just play well. Zvonareva isn't in peak form and Sabine has confidence of recent wins over high ranked players. If Sabine could cause an upset there's a good chance of going quite far here. C'mon Sabine! :)

I feel the same... Sabine played so well and deserved to win the match... she had some chances before her injury but what happend after is horrible... hope she will be fit and make quick recovery now it´s the most important thing... who cares if she could play R3 being healthy is the most important...

I'm so sad for her illness and lost. I hope you she is ok. She showed an amazing tennis and proved that she is almost back. She deserved to win the match but poor Sabine, she couldn't use the match points because of her illness.. I'm so worried for her health at the moment, seeing her tears made me almost dead. Oh Sabine I love her so much!! :hug: It was really harsh luck what happened to her :sad: Can only hope for quick recovery and that she will prepare in future to hopefully avoid the same situation with cramping. Zvonareva knew she got out of jail there.

Don't worry, she will be ready for 2011 Wimbledon and she will do better than 2009.

Hi everyone,
I had a great tournament and a very good match against Vera. Unfortunately it didn´t go my way but I still have a lot of positive things that I take out of this match! I´m sad that my body let me down. Doctors recently discovered that I´m intolerante to Gluten- meaning I can´t eat e.g. pasta. One of the biggest energy sources...
My body needs to adjust to the big change and needs some time. Its good that we found out and it will only make life better in the long run! Thanks for all the nice messages! I´m ok and excited to continue my good play on the grass.

She has withdrawn from the ITF tournament in Nottingham.

Next tournament should be WTA-Birmingham and then Wimbledon qualifying.

I'm not a doctor but she said she can't eat e.g of pasta because of gluten protein. This may refer she is having celiac disease :rolleyes: Btw, symptoms of this disease can be seen in other disease but if she is a celiac disease this means she has to continue her life with a special diet and special foods. She mustn't eat foods which made of wheat, barley, rye and oats.. :rolleyes: This will change her eating habits completely. But on the other hand this way of eating will make her more energetic, more sharp and strong.. She will start to feel better!

So good to read a positive update from Sabine :) Important that they discovered her Gluten problem now and she can make the adjustments needed to her diet. May not be easy to adjust but there's plenty of information out there.
