Welcome to Fès, Morocco! The red clay season is truly kicking off this week and with the other event this week being the very exclusive indoor clay event in Stuttgart, those players who wish for a more open draw, or to play outside like they will be for the upcoming clay season and Roland Garros, decided to go to Fès this week. One of these players is former world number one, Dinara Safina, who will be partnering with Kazakh Galina Voskoboeva in the doubles draw this week. These two already displayed their skills this year by winning the title in Kuala Lumpur, but they will hope to re-capture this magic in Africa. The top seeds are Czech stars and doubles stand-outs Andrea Hlavackova and Renata Voracova, but they will meet firm opposition from the other teams in the draw. As the red clay season kicks off, getting some wins now is key for each player's confidence in the upcoming weeks, making the competition here in Fès all the more important. Vote now as the Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Maryam begins!!!
