Well, she's got a pretty good draw here, so we've got to be thankful for that. Hopefully she will be able to find a good rhythm quickly. If she does, I think that she's got a pretty good chance of qualifying. That said, I don't care too much about results at the moment. I'm just happy that she's feeling healthy, and that she's back on the court. :)

I only watched Set 1, but Anna was far from her Best. Still some Great shots, but She seemed to Be weak. She has a Fine touch and distributed the Ball very well. :D

Today she played a really good match. However there was a bad patch in the second set from 2-0 to 2-3. Yet she looked angry and mad the entire match, which was better to see than the pale and weak Anna yesterday. :) Some great, fluent shots and less errors. Good returning and a solid serve. :D

Anna plays Zuzana Kucova on court one tomorrow not before 12:00 German Time.

It will probably start a bit later, since the match between her doubles partner Dulgueru and Hantuchova is scheduled for 10:30, and i don't think it will be over by 11:50 or so.

The doubles will be "after suitable rest", but since they will have the court 2 for themselves, the suitable rest can be a bit longer ;).

She is playing a lot of tennis this week. I want her healthy for Madrid & majors.
Those are big draws & Anna might get a good section.

Part of me want Anna to lose her next match. I don't like to see her lose to Caro again. Caro never met in-form Anna so far and maybe never will.

There's no shame in losing to the No.1, no matter what anyone thinks of Caro holding the title, and i don't think it will be a humiliating blowout. I mean, Zombie Anna in Dubai almost won a set aganist her before fainting (and retired about to serve for the set).
And she could really use the points because, lets face it, she won't be facing LL in Premier Round 1s very often.

In terms of her playing career it doesn't seem too good. How can she possibly manage to cope in some of the more difficult conditions like Australia in summer?

I just hope that she gets the right help and makes the best decision for her own health.

I have already slightly embraced the fact that this is possible. :sad: Syncopy is never good for any athlete's career.

I do hope that Anna will get over this but it remains to be seen if this illness will stop occuring during the current stretch of her career. :bigcry:

There is so much uncertainty surrounding her illness at the moment. At any rate, there is one thing that I'm quite certain about, and it's that Anna loves playing tennis. She's not going to quit the sport without a fight. She has faced all sorts of challenges in this sport, and she has found a way to overcome all of them. She makes it back into the Top 50, and then she runs headlong into her biggest obstacle yet. It really isn't fair, but that is how life is sometimes... :[
