Dokic out of Fed Cup due to exhaustionSrodgers Apr 12th, 2011, 03:18 AM http://twitter.com/TennisReporters/status/57595824741416960  Akil Apr 12th, 2011, 03:23 AM get better Dokic......:cheer: tennisforadults Apr 12th, 2011, 03:24 AM ^ Someone's asking for a ban thegreendestiny Apr 12th, 2011, 03:29 AM Lol. Exhausted of losing. tennisfan5 Apr 12th, 2011, 03:53 AM She's 15-8 this year with a title and has more than halved her ranking since the end of 2010 to #63 . I'd say that's pretty good. Светльо Apr 12th, 2011, 04:12 AM regroup girl :cheer: young_gunner913 Apr 12th, 2011, 04:17 AM Exhausted from what? :spit: heart Apr 12th, 2011, 04:18 AM from what? KoOlMaNsEaN Apr 12th, 2011, 04:23 AM ditto to the previous 2 posts In The Zone Apr 12th, 2011, 04:25 AM She's not used to playing more than two matches in a week. I buy it. Take more time to prepare for the red clay. Keadz Apr 12th, 2011, 04:53 AM Well she certainly will be exhausted if she flies half way across the world to play in Melbourne, and then all the way back a couple of days later. Stosur and Jelena made the right decision considering their respective situations (aka, Sam trying to find form and Jelena trying to consolidate it) Sp!ffy Apr 12th, 2011, 05:07 AM The season's not even halfway over. :weirdo: Six Feet Under Apr 12th, 2011, 05:12 AM Has she played since KL? claypova Apr 12th, 2011, 05:27 AM Has she played since KL? she played Miami and Charleston  Buitenzorg Apr 12th, 2011, 06:15 AM leave this girl alone :p A-Bond Apr 12th, 2011, 08:10 AM Poor Jarka :o Marlboro Apr 12th, 2011, 08:49 AM :help: You guys are so hard on her, she's already played one match this month! BlueTrees Apr 12th, 2011, 09:28 AM Lol. Exhausted of losing. She rose 75 places in the rankings in about two months. :wavey: FORZA SARITA Apr 12th, 2011, 09:32 AM Lol. Exhausted of losing. OMG :haha::happy::spit: Just Do It Apr 12th, 2011, 09:39 AM LOL It's just an excuse, she can't be bothered to fly all over to Australia and then fly back to Morocco in 24 hours. Daniel K Apr 12th, 2011, 10:32 AM Some of you acting like your faves would fly across the world to play Fed Cup  The whole competition is a joke. She cbf and I don't blame her. Melange Apr 12th, 2011, 11:05 AM They should play it in a neutral European site like they do now with football friendlies. Flying that far, especially if you have an injury, is ridiculous. Another thing, why is the ticket price so high, same as Aus Open price, as if they are going to get a huge crowd. AYUMI-GOAT Apr 12th, 2011, 11:10 AM leave this girl alone :p + 1 She has achieved more than you guys ever will. TheBoiledEgg Apr 12th, 2011, 11:14 AM Australia should play it in London as its full of Aussies then again who'd be behind the bar  Miracle Worker Apr 12th, 2011, 12:54 PM She is exhausted. I understand her. Maybe her body is not exhausted, but body is not everything. Svetlana))) Apr 12th, 2011, 01:02 PM Perfectly understandable. NOT. MiiMo Apr 12th, 2011, 03:03 PM What's her schedule for the claycourt season by the way ? Akil Apr 12th, 2011, 03:13 PM What's her schedule for the claycourt season by the way ? do a bit of gardening in her back yard maybe...:haha: iGOAT Apr 12th, 2011, 03:45 PM OK, I think it may be smart not to play, but exhaustion :spit:. If it's a hoax, kind of annoying but fine, but if she's actually excited, I am EXTREMELY worried about her fitness level :help:. A-Bond Apr 12th, 2011, 04:01 PM If I were the Fed Cup Responsibles in Australia I would offer Ukraine to held the tie with a financial support, I mean Australia will win anyway and it would be better for all players. tonybotz Apr 12th, 2011, 04:34 PM she needs to lose the muffin top. then she won't be "exhausted" from playing 23 matches in 4 months... LCS Apr 12th, 2011, 05:14 PM Has she played since KL? :weirdo: cn ireland Apr 12th, 2011, 05:28 PM As a fan, I'm glad she's not playing FED Cup. Instead she needs to focus on WTA tournaments & keep climbing the rankings. CrossCourt~Rally Apr 12th, 2011, 08:18 PM Rest up Jelly  Sammo Apr 12th, 2011, 08:48 PM Exhausted? :weirdo: Talula Apr 12th, 2011, 09:03 PM + 1 She has achieved more than you guys ever will. I know her fans say this a lot, and I know my user name is a tad dramatic and my favorite player ever not exactly Miss Stable, but Dokic is Victim Vera/Greta Garbo/Bette Davis on medication! But maybe thats her appeal! I do feel very sorry for Jelena as damaged childhoods are EXTREMELY difficult to overcome, if ever. As is depression. But sometimes people can fall into the trap of enjoying drama and I fear Jelena has. I just wish she could get a decent Team behind her who have only her best interests at heart, but decent people are hard to find. simonsaystennis Apr 12th, 2011, 09:10 PM I'd rather her take a week off so she can be fresh for the claycourt season instead of overstretching herself and playing Fed Cup. I usually say the same thing when Venus and Serena don't commit for Fed Cup for Team USA. Petkorazzi Apr 13th, 2011, 12:23 AM Why do people assume it's necessarily a physical exhaustion? She might be exhausted mentally, that happens to a lot of players. She's been playing well all season, but her last 2 tournaments have been disappointing, but it's understandable, because as someone said, she hadn't been used to playing more than 1-2 matches per tournament till this year. Rest up, Jelena! :) Joana Apr 13th, 2011, 12:45 AM Why do people assume it's necessarily a physical exhaustion? She might be exhausted mentally, that happens to a lot of players. She's been playing well all season, but her last 2 tournaments have been disappointing, but it's understandable, because as someone said, she hadn't been used to playing more than 1-2 matches per tournament till this year. Rest up, Jelena! :) Well, if she finds that winning matches is so mentally draining, perhaps it's time to consider another career, one that is not all about, erm, winning matches. doktor Apr 13th, 2011, 12:48 AM meh i wouldn't fly back to aus for fed cup when the clay seasons about to start in europe either also i think we're taking her excuse a little to seriously, its pretty obvious she's only making something up so she doesn't have to go to aus, i'm sure she's fine new-york Apr 13th, 2011, 03:23 AM As long as she doesn't go M.I.A. BlueTrees Apr 13th, 2011, 04:28 AM FED cUP Sp!ffy Apr 13th, 2011, 04:52 AM FED cUP Wow, aren't you so0o0o0oo clever. + 1 She has achieved more than you guys ever will. Not everyone here has dreams of being professional tour players....:weirdo: | |
