well? or at least top 30? :tape::sad:

do you guys think she will ever reach another GS QF? or perhaps even another semi?

ever since i started really following jie she has had bad result after bad result. i've only really started following her this year and she is still trying to recover from surgery, but still. it's just that she doesn't appear to be improving. last week she almost lost to like world number 400. i swear she was playing better like her second match back from injury.

any opinions? all are welcome

She's too good a player to not reach at least the top 30 again. Don't expect too much from her in the clay season but provided she's heathy I predict she'll get some good results later in the year. It's very frustrating when one of your faves is out of form/out due to injury, but they are people not robots.

She was never really was that consistent but she could play great tennis when she was on!
She really has the game for clay so I hope she could build some confidence here by winning some matches. :cheer:

If there's any justice and her little fragile body can keep together :sobbing:

Jie's ROS was tearing apart Serena's shit movement that day

It's hard to say, her body is very frail, but I will stay optomistic for Jie :hearts:

little jie and her compact body. hope it heals :o she is also a really great person too (for one she donated all of her wimbledon SF money to the sichuan earthquake), so i agree on the justice comment :awww:

She has a great game; I like watching her play. It's disappointing to see her suffer from another injury. She's been back from injury before though so don't lose hope. I'm sure she'll be back. Just takes a little time. And apparently she said that she would "like to play til 40", so there you go.

I love it when the players are so humanitarian too. Na is the same.

Can't believe you only started following little Zheng this year :p

No one can find the Henin-Jie match?
I hope she can recover, very very nice girl and works her butt off every point.

:) i have seen the article in which she stated that she wants to play till 40. apparently, before this, a person asked her old she was. upon hearing that she was 26 (or something), he was like, "wow, you're so old." jie was like chinese players mature slower

:sad::sad::sad: i really WISH i started following her sooner. i mean, i first saw her play against henin in the 2010 AO SF, but i didn't really start following her closely until this year. the fact of the matter is that tennis has horrible coverage; it's a fluke that i discovered her (and tennis in general) at all really :)

I love the girl. She's one of my absolute FAVORITE doubles players. I even picked her to win Charleston in FITD doubles, even though she's in terrible form
But I love her singles game when she's on, too. I remember how effective she was against Serena in Miami a few years back. And against Safina in Rome - she should have won that match!

Yes because 26 is sooo old :p I'm glad to hear she will play till then...after all she's just getting into her groove at this age I feel. She could be around for many more years...

And yeah...I find it a bit strange :p I think I saw her playing years ago against Mauresmo but she had a different style, but I'm probably wrong there. So first time in singles was her delicious Wimbledon run a few years ago  the time I met, THE grunt ;)

And as others say, I have faith she will as to the poll. After all she needed a WC at that Wimbledon. She has shown she can climb back up before. So injury free and improving her oh so powerful serve should help :tape:
