Has it ever happened before that a player has played all 4 Grand Slams during a year but has not played any WTA events during the same time period
if not, congrats Venus Williams  after her 2010 European clay points drop off and before she plays Brussels, the only events she will have played in the last year are RG, Wimbledon, USO and AO :spit: :worship:

Wow. Really? :speakles:
Where does she rank if we count only her GS points?

She will be something about 32-34th in the ranking.

I can think of only one other example: Anna Smashnova. Her last four career events were Wimbledon 07, Roland Garros 07, The Australian Open 07 and The US Open 06.
So a great trivia question would be "what do Venus Williams and Anna Smashnova have in common?". That would stump a lot of people I suspect. :)

Yes, that were her last events, but she still had in ranking some more events - even one tournament's win I think.

True, but prior to the US Open 07, she would have had only the 4 slams in her ranking...same as Venus.

but did she remove herself from the rankings before USO 2007
in Venus' case, she has Beijing, Doha YEC, IW, Miami and Madrid in her rankings :tape:
