Marbella SF: Azarenka def. Errani 6-2, 6-1saul1333 Apr 9th, 2011, 11:27 AM Thank you Vika :hearts: Really great serving and returning..please win in the final :D Cute rxn at the end  TheBoiledEgg Apr 9th, 2011, 11:27 AM awesome Vika :) :D in a demo mood  Sean. Apr 9th, 2011, 11:27 AM If she can keep this up, and that's a big if, I'd pick her as the favourite for RG! Jane Lane Apr 9th, 2011, 11:28 AM Yay Vika :cheer: She was great. W/UE Vika 27-20 Sara 10-6 Errani is annoying. Had this reaction after holding for 15* as if she freaking won RG :tape: Zamboni Apr 9th, 2011, 11:31 AM Great play from Vika:yeah: Not bad at all from Sara either, except for the middle of the 2nd set which went just way too quickly. Postive winner/ue ratio from both and it looked like that kind of match. Vika is one of the best returners on tour, there was no way this was not gonna be tough for Sara, should have maybe tried a bit more variety (and not hit every halfcourtball she got right at Vika, argh!) but I'm not sure if she even got the chance for that. Win the doubles ;) Andreas Apr 9th, 2011, 11:31 AM The match was pretty good I thought, but Vika was by far the better player and the win was never in doubt. Hopefully a win in the final as well to take the first clay title of her career :D Errani is annoying. Had this reaction after holding for 15* as if she freaking won RG :tape: I agree that Errani is annoying, but I think a player is always relieved after avoiding the bagel. Ballbasher Apr 9th, 2011, 11:31 AM Vika. :worship: She has been amazing since beating Kim. :inlove: Steven. Apr 9th, 2011, 11:33 AM Keep it up Vika and win the championship match. :inlove: Break My Rapture Apr 9th, 2011, 11:33 AM Flying through the draw, hasn't lost more than 3 games in every set she has played so far this week. Nice match overall. First clay final since Prague 2008. :cheer: Get it Vika. Libertango Apr 9th, 2011, 11:34 AM Keep going Vika! itzhak Apr 9th, 2011, 11:36 AM Vika is in great form, it was little closer then 2 and 1.. BTW, what a stupid schedule to put the SF in 12:00 in the heat of marbella, why not to play in late afternoon?! PineappleBoy Apr 9th, 2011, 11:37 AM Good Job for Vika。。 JustPetko Apr 9th, 2011, 11:38 AM Vika lost only 14 games to final :hearts: Hian Apr 9th, 2011, 11:40 AM Vika :yeah: Errorni  goldenlox Apr 9th, 2011, 11:50 AM Vika is in great form now. If she can keep this up she's a bigtime FO contender. Hian Apr 9th, 2011, 11:53 AM The best thing with Vika is that she plays well on every surface, differently from journeywomen like Kvitova and so on. Lachy Apr 9th, 2011, 11:57 AM Sara  You're meant to be the claycourter  Sassy-Na Apr 9th, 2011, 12:19 PM "heeee" madmax Apr 9th, 2011, 12:23 PM Vika going for her first RG title? In all seriousness, we might just be witnessing a birth of a new champion, ready to finally end this miserable state of the tour... Miracle Worker Apr 9th, 2011, 12:26 PM Alex :sobbing: Sharapovian Apr 9th, 2011, 12:27 PM :cheer: Well done Vika, get your first clay title! Imperfect Angel Apr 9th, 2011, 12:30 PM Vika :cheer: DownInAHole Apr 9th, 2011, 12:33 PM This has been a great tournament for Viktoria so far but I think it is far too early to consider her a favourite to win at Roland Garros. No disrespect to the other players at Marbella but the field will be much tougher for Viktoria during the rest of her clay season. If she can play like this at Madrid and/or Rome then maybe she can be considered one of the favourites to win the French Open. Mr.Sharapova Apr 9th, 2011, 12:33 PM Vika lost only 14 games to final :hearts:  SARA-GOAT Apr 9th, 2011, 12:41 PM Sara  RenaSlam. Apr 9th, 2011, 12:53 PM Wow. Errani is no slouch, especially on clay. Vikapower Apr 9th, 2011, 01:28 PM Vika finally... I've thouroughly been supporting you for 2yrs. already in every moments... maybe now be the year !!? Win the final now !! :cheer: Светльо Apr 9th, 2011, 01:30 PM Congratz, Azzza! :cheer: Win two titles in a row, please. :bounce: Hian Apr 9th, 2011, 01:31 PM Alex :sobbing:   SVK Apr 9th, 2011, 01:31 PM "heeee" :spit: Corswandt Apr 9th, 2011, 01:37 PM Errani getting butchered is always good. But Shriekarenka is peaking too early. The best thing with Vika is that she plays well on every surface, differently from journeywomen like Kvitova and so on. :bigcry: Stop picking on KvittyGOAT. Seriously, 100% agree with the bolded part. Shriekarenka's generic game works on all surfaces, contrary to what some of the resident punditry would have you believe. young_gunner913 Apr 9th, 2011, 01:50 PM Could Vika be the first to with the 5th AND 6th slam? Miracle Worker Apr 9th, 2011, 02:01 PM ^^ I don't know anything about 6th slam... The 5th is Marbella. And we don't have more slams in tour... SVK Apr 9th, 2011, 02:03 PM Portoroz used to be 6th slam but it´s gone now. slamchamp Apr 9th, 2011, 02:04 PM finally vika playing like she can. She's much better than wozniacki in my opinion! Miracle Worker Apr 9th, 2011, 02:06 PM Portoroz was used to 6th slam, but Anna won it... And she has to be the last winner of this magnificent slam.... SVK Apr 9th, 2011, 02:08 PM Portoroz was used to 6th slam, but Anna won it... And she has to be the last winner of this magnificent slam.... Of course they must replaced it, 6th slam is Baku this year. iGOAT Apr 9th, 2011, 02:19 PM Good job Vika :cheer: so glad she finally found her form. I thought she would win the Aussie but she played horrible at that point in the year. Now she is playing well :yeah:. Can she win tomorrow? Hopefully her first clay title ;). Shadowcat Apr 9th, 2011, 02:38 PM Thank you Vika! Amazing as always! :cheer: Belmont Lad Apr 9th, 2011, 02:42 PM Azarenka is obviously riding on a wave of confidence, as evinced by her winning scoreline's this tournament. Nice to see. CrossCourt~Rally Apr 9th, 2011, 02:51 PM Vika :yeah: The new queen of red clay ? :p Xepher Apr 9th, 2011, 02:52 PM Could Vika be the first to with the 5th AND 6th slam? Monterrey is the sixth slam. So... Landon92 Apr 9th, 2011, 03:07 PM Azarenka is in great form now, she will be really dangerous in Paris. Congrats and good luck tomorrow. 10 straight wins :) RenaSlam. Apr 9th, 2011, 03:09 PM Amazing what confidence will do for a player. gmak Apr 9th, 2011, 03:44 PM Vika :yeah: :D :) never in doubt ;) on her way to a 2nd straight title :rocker: Temperenka Apr 9th, 2011, 03:50 PM Awesome scoreline. :yeah: Couldn't get my ass out of bed to watch it, but wish I had. :o Win your first clay title, Vika :) No one should be looking ahead to the French yet. Still a lot of tennis to be played. Smitten Apr 9th, 2011, 04:19 PM Monterrey is the sixth slam. So... Oh good. Come on Pavlyuchenkova. | |
