Didn't she want to marry and retire mid 2010?

It's actually going up since then. She won a 75.000-$-ITF in Dubai at the end of last year and was quite solid this year. She's 13:7 up to now.

Had a great match (at least a great set) against Henin at the Australian-Open, beat Jovanovski in Doha and is in round three in Charleston now.

Is she still able to cause some upsets? She sometimes doesn't seem to be very ambitious. What do you expect from her this year? Top 50? Top 40? Even better?

Sania has no points to defend till the grass season, and is currently 84th in the world so Top 40 this year should be an easy comfortable goal for her. All i wish is for her wrists to stay safe from the injuries that have plagued her for the last 2 years.

A good forehand, nothing more... that's Mirza.
Top 60 would be already a lot.

If she stays healthy, she's a top 30 player easily. She has far too much power for most of the girls she plays. And if she hadn't had to play quallies in Miami, she would have clobbered Kirilenko and probably beaten Radwanska and gone a ways in that draw. She was playing that well on the hardcourts.

Sania's in good form at the moment, I'm glad she's stringing things together.

Trouble is she's inconsistent and, with respect, a massive ball basher so I doubt she can be Top 20.

Sania is definitely going up. She has a few points to defend in the grass season but she had a disastrous summer, so she should definitely get to the top fifty. She claims she is in good shape too. After that, she just needs some control. She can be top twenty if she gets that, but not this year.

Yeah, her AO match vs Justine, her FH was blitzing Justine. Too bad her serve sucked.

Agreed, she doesn't need a huge serve but something that doesn't suck. She'd win more games and likely more matches.
