For second year in a row Carla will have to miss her favourite part of the season, after trying to recover from her elbow injury by several methods doctors decided the only way for a complete recovery was surgery.
Some media are saying that she will miss the whole current season :eek:

:bigcry: Come back stronger than ever, Carla, let's hope your right elbow finally stops giving you troubles and we can see you beating tops again

She should've had the surgery a while ago. Hasn't she been nursing it for over a year now? Hopefully she can come back fully healthy and live up to her potential.

After beating venus williams in 2009 the potential of this girl was very clear. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Carla and Romina are the unluckiest players of the last decade, with Kulikova.

Oh Carlita, I wish I could have foreboded that she is an injury prone player before becoming such an entangled fan of her...

I had forgotten. But Sabine was injured only once right?
Opry and Suarez always get injured.

Totally sucks! I love watching her play damnit!

Fortunately, she's young so she should recover. I remember when Vera Z used to get injured ALL the friggin time, especially when she was just starting to catch fire. Then things finally changed for the better and she's really asserted herself on tour. Hopefully Carla will be able to go the Vera Z way rather than the Alicia Molik way (Sigh! One of my heartbreaks. She was finally playing well, beating top players, breaking into the top 10, going far at the Australian Open and other tournaments, becoming a contender, becoming known for a killer serve and forehand and an ear infection pretty much destroyed her career).
