Patrick345
Mar 3rd, 2011, 09:32 AM
Dinara moves and hits well enough. Her serve looks much better, too. Too bad Safarova seems to have one of her on days.

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 09:32 AM
Yeah, the livestream wasn't available for the previous two matches because of technical issues on site but it's finally working.

Safarova up a break, serving at 3-2.

Patrick345
Mar 3rd, 2011, 09:42 AM
I hope Dinara knows or has a good coaching staff, that even if she loses today, that she is on the right track. If she remains healthy, I think we will see a very good claycourt season from Dinara.

Sam.
Mar 3rd, 2011, 09:59 AM

Not sure what Safina is trying to accomplish with these mid-court moonballs...

Today: Getting back into position.

Long-term: Be the new Wozniacki and return to world #1.

Safian seems to lack power these days, she canīt even hit clean winners against Lucie.

Jorn
Mar 3rd, 2011, 11:03 AM

If she wants to channel Wozniacki, she needs to start hitting them a bit deeper. ;)

Its over but winning a set from Lucie is not bad...

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 11:22 AM
commentator just called Safina a 3-time GS winner:haha:
He's done it again! After Safina hit a service winner, he said: "That's why she's won three Grand Slams" :spit:

Well as a betting website you donīt want a commentator that is too good. You donīt want him to read matches properly and tell the audience.

The one doing Monterrey cracks me up (although he isn't as unintentionally funny as he used to be). He has a tendency to mangle players' names pretty badly. I still remember last year, when he was talking about "Angela" Kerber, "Louise" Hradecka, and Ayumi "Moriarty"

Elwin.
Mar 3rd, 2011, 11:41 AM
He now is calling 'Misa' Kleybanova :spit:
He has no idea who the players are :hysteric:

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 12:13 PM
Krajicek saves 3 SPs only to give the set away with a DF and a sloppy BH into the net. Her 1st serve has gone AWOL in the last couple of games...

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 12:15 PM
The commentator said the 2nd set "could" be decisive. No shit...

Alisa Kleybanova vs. Michaella Krajicek 6-3, 2-4...

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 12:53 PM
Kleybanova saves 3 BPs and holds for 3-4. Krajicek had a chance to really put a clamp on the 2nd set.

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 12:54 PM
Another suspect line call (on a Krajicek serve). Alisa is pissed off. There have been quite a few of these this week...

Elwin.
Mar 3rd, 2011, 01:03 PM
Misa takes the 2nd set  So proud!!

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 01:04 PM
Krajicek missed a very easy putaway that would have given her triple set point, but then hit an ace to go up 40-15. Good reaction. Kleybanova buried a ROS into the net to give her the set, 6-4.

Junzilla69
Mar 3rd, 2011, 01:05 PM

Alisa Kleybanova vs. Michaella Krajicek 6-3, 4-6, *1-3 bp.

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 01:35 PM
Kleybanova holds for 2-3 after saving 3 more BPs, although Krajicek thought Kleybs had hit a DF on the first BP. This could be a turning point. Krajicek will be disappointed, she needs to put that game behind her. Let's see if she can hold it together mentally.

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 01:38 PM
Krajicek holds at love for 4-2. Nice serving.

Spiritof42
Mar 3rd, 2011, 01:51 PM
Good win for her. I think she deserved it, she was definitely the better player in the final set. Kleybanova was simply too erratic tonight.
