I've noticed recently that a lot of the players representing Australia have Balkan surnames(Dokic, Tomic to name a few), in both men's and women's... even in the qualifying matches which really surprised me.

Is there a correlation between Yugoslavian ancestry and tennis culture in Australia?

Not really a noticeable correlation besides at the pinnacle of Australian tennis, we just have a lot of European ancestry here I guess.
