Tennis Channel News Ticker - WHY???

WHY WHY WHY Do they do this to us??

Is there one person out there that actually likes the breaking news ticker??? How often has it ruined a match you were watching? Seems to be a good way to drive away viewers. If I want to know that Sam & Caroline feel good about their chances at the AO despite their early round exits in the warmup events, I will read their post match interviews.... and really do we need to be told that Rafa & Caro are the number 1 seeds for the AO based on their rankings??? REALLY?? Ticker worthy???

Is there anyone out there that actually thinks this is a cool feature???

If you hate the ticker as much as I do please email the Tennis Channel and let them know! Hopefully they will do away with it so we can enjoy the AO!!!

Hahahahah how does it not bother you??? I hate watching a match and then seeing the final score roll past under my eyes mid match. RUINS the match.... As easy as it is to say don't read it, it is hard not to do! Not to mention the screen real estate it is taking up!! I would rather see more court!

Don't they show the scores from previous matches. Like for Sydney final they were still showing the QF results.

Also I hate that it goes away during commercials unlike most Tickers and if I want to read it I have to wait until it comes back :mad:

In theory they are showing scores for already played matches... but as all of the tennis is happening way outside of our timezone right now most of us watch it on encore .... I guess I should be glad that they at least started spelling the players names right ;)

It is especially useful during a slam. They actually put up scores of people not in the top 10.

I created a thread not too long ago about how annoying it is :lol:
They obviously copy everything from TF and MTF :lol:

Oh how I love my direct TV multi channel slam viewing... and NO ANNOYING TICKER!!! OMG it is SO NICE to watch tennis without useless information scrolling past! I will be sad when it reverts to the regular networks on the 25th :(
