If she doesn´t win something big in 2011, then she´s done...

I thought you are talking about Govortsova :sobbing:

Don't make threads like this. You'll jinx her.

She sucks and she's going to be a loser for the remainder of her career! YES MARIA. You suck. Just retire with your millions. You'll never have to play another match, or need to work for the rest of your life anyway. Besides, Wozniacki's around now. No one wants you anymore. Just retire, Maria. Retire.

If she doesn´t win something big in 2011, then she´s done...

We said that last year.

"If she doesn´t win something big in 2010, then she´s done...".

I continue to have total confidence that she'll will another slam at some point. She's still only 23 years old, she's still in the Top 20, and she's shown this year that she can still sometimes play at her former level. All she needs to do is get back to a place where she can play like that consistently. She'll also benefit from the fact that many other top players are in equally big slumps (Kuzzy) or greater slumps (Safina, Ivanovic) than she's in, and others may be close to retirement (Venus? Dementieva?) or re-retirement (Henin?). Even right now she's certainly still one of the Top 10 biggest contenders to win a slam, and even if she just maintains her current level she could very well be one of the Top 5 contenders a few years from now (Caro can't win everything!) Things could certainly be better, but she's still very much in the picture. She's nowhere's near being in Safina/Ivanovic territory at this point.

Hell yeah we need her back! We have too many pretenders in the top 10, especially that number 1 spot.
I was watching the Kim-Sharapova 05 U.S. highlights and Venus-Sharapova -5 Wimby highlights that Jamie posted in his thread on 05 Grandslam matches and THAT Sharapova would've gotten past the Pusher and saved the WTA,

I'm not a fan (as you all know :p) but I'd sure rather have her at the top (you know... a real player), than a pusher any day of the week!

But it remains to be seen if she'll ever return to that form again...
Seems like any of the top players having a good day can beat her (Similar to that other Serb).
