Elena has forgotten how to serve again:sad:
Not a good match.
2-0 VS Kimiko this year:worship:
Elena continues her slow, tortuous march to Doha.
Please work on your serve before facing Ana:tape:

Well done Elena.

Kimiko played some half volleys Federer would be proud of but just too inconsistant. Well done Elena - Ana will be tough!

Thank you Lena :hearts:

Good 3rd set after the horrible 2nd set(minus letting 5-0 slip away) :D

Still amazed Kimiko can live with these ladies, even if she didn't win today.

Congrats Lena.

I enjoyed that match. Kimiko as always hit some lovely shots and Elena also played some brilliant tennis. I got the feeling that even when Elena was behind that she was enjoying the challenge of facing Kimiko's unorthodox game.

Kimiko drops to 9-4 against Russians in the maindraw of WTA events, since the start of her 2nd career. Incredibly, only once in this time has she lost in straight sets to a Russian, including qualifying and ITF matches.

Obviously I would have liked Kimiko to win this but it was still a good effort against a great player so I can't have a lot of regrets.

You know, back in 2000 I was trying to choose between a crack habit and being a Dementieva fan.

Clearly, I made the wrong choice.

Kimiko  good try though.

Well done Elena, don't know what happened in the second set. But good to see she managed to get everything back on track.

Lena closing in on that YEC spot. A win next round might do it

Oct 5th, 2010, 03:19 PM
10 DF? :o
Jeez Elena, sometimes you want to do thigs more difficult

Oct 5th, 2010, 03:22 PM
Elena :)
Well ,she won it at least and she is about to qualify for the YEC, which is great but her game is still so inconsistent, some good sets or games and then again nothing works , I won´t mention her mental problems when it is about to win a set or match, she lost so many matches bc of it this year, not today at least, good luck against Ivanovic!

Oct 5th, 2010, 03:26 PM
go Lena :rocker2: doesnt matter how, but as long as she wins and gets a place in YEC, im happy :rocker2:

Lena ;) :bounce:
she's normally more dangerous when she breaks more/and loses serve more.

Oct 5th, 2010, 03:52 PM

Who cares, a win is a win. Go Elena!!!!

Congrats Lena.

Agree. Didn't think she had a chance. But the chance was there at least ;)
