Vartan Oct 5th, 2010, 05:42 AM Wtf. Does no one want to qualify for YEC? Is anyone NOT injured or not playing like complete shit?! Wozniator, but not playing like shit is debatable. JackFrost Oct 5th, 2010, 05:45 AM Julia! :fiery: You throw away a free ticket into the third round. :( iPatty Oct 5th, 2010, 05:46 AM Not the way I wanted to see Timea in the third round but I'll take it. itzhak Oct 5th, 2010, 05:46 AM How many times is she going to do that this year? it's her 7th retirement, if it was not sad it was funny... Mashabator Oct 5th, 2010, 05:46 AM :o wtf Shonami Slam Oct 5th, 2010, 05:46 AM i'm starting to think azarenka is the player with the most retirements in her career *leading* the match. Vee Williams Oct 5th, 2010, 05:47 AM it's her 7th retirement, if it was not sad it was funny... it is absolutely ridiculous. it's not professional, it's not fair to the crowds, it's not right for her health to keep playing if there's a problem. it's wrong on so many levels. VIKA-GOAT Oct 5th, 2010, 05:48 AM seriously... hope she's ok though. sammy01 Oct 5th, 2010, 05:49 AM you gotta assume this is a bad injury as she was leading and trying to qualify for the YEC, that is not both thrown away on a whim. saul1333 Oct 5th, 2010, 05:50 AM Thank you Vika :hearts: WHY :bigcry: please be nothing serious.. Imperfect Angel Oct 5th, 2010, 05:52 AM I guess she now dethrones Bartoli as the Queen of retirements now?:tape: Vika :o Absolutely horrible. darkangel23 Oct 5th, 2010, 05:53 AM Timea :D Good luck in 3r Temperenka Oct 5th, 2010, 05:57 AM Get well soon, Vika  I hope this year won't be representative of the rest of her career. goldenlox Oct 5th, 2010, 05:58 AM That ends a potetntial Vika-Maria rematch from Stanford Boreas Oct 5th, 2010, 06:01 AM She's back with her old tricks:tape: Roookie Oct 5th, 2010, 06:01 AM Vika  Maria Croft Oct 5th, 2010, 06:03 AM it's her 7th retirement, if it was not sad it was funny... In just one year? jimmy_the_greek Oct 5th, 2010, 06:04 AM vika:sad: hope she comes back 100% itzhak Oct 5th, 2010, 06:07 AM My Mistake: it was only her 6th retirement this year, my fault... Jajaloo Oct 5th, 2010, 06:10 AM Is she injured? Everyone needs to get off Wika's back. She was leading 6-4 2-3. Obviously she would've kept going if she could  claypova Oct 5th, 2010, 06:15 AM  get well soon  shoparound Oct 5th, 2010, 06:19 AM Lol does anyone in the tour care anymore except for Caroline? brickhousesupporter Oct 5th, 2010, 06:20 AM Bonus money people......bonus money. They have come to far to let this stop them. PLP Oct 5th, 2010, 06:31 AM you gotta assume this is a bad injury as she was leading and trying to qualify for the YEC, that is not both thrown away on a whim. Victoria might have been leading in score but this was a very well-fought match. Every game seemed so long, Timea was not going away easily. Not the way I wanted to see Timea win, but happy that she is through!! GL in the next rd T!! silyaunWILLIAMS Oct 5th, 2010, 06:38 AM :o Six Feet Under Oct 5th, 2010, 06:39 AM Vika :awww: Timea use this chance :) pierce85 Oct 5th, 2010, 06:40 AM Absolutely ridiculous, one must admire the men for their work ethic. I mean nadal has won 3 slams this season and he still competed in a 3 hour match in thailand. The women, on the other hand don't care... The season is over for them after the US open Beat Oct 5th, 2010, 07:18 AM 6 retirements in one year? wow ... :help: timea! :D shirgan Oct 5th, 2010, 07:50 AM another seed is out  only 7 left out of 16 and the second round hasn't even completed yet Marionated Oct 5th, 2010, 07:54 AM 6 retirements in one year? wow ... :help: timea! :D 7, Fed cup against Bammer too. But she was leading in 3 of those, so you have to assume this one is genuinely serious enough for her to feel that she can't go, and she did have the concussion in New York. shirgan Oct 5th, 2010, 07:56 AM according to the wta site she retired due to a left thigh strain LUVMIRZA Oct 5th, 2010, 08:21 AM This is horrible...woke up to this news to ruin my day:sobbing: Rafito. Oct 5th, 2010, 08:28 AM Injured again :sobbing: jrm Oct 5th, 2010, 08:31 AM Best for her to retire or she'll be six feet under before 30! Slampova Oct 5th, 2010, 08:34 AM Vika :hug: Not a nice way to make it through Timea, but congrats on making it to the 3R :inlove: Vodkapova Oct 5th, 2010, 08:39 AM How many times is she gonna be injured? WTA :sobbing: Nikkiri Oct 5th, 2010, 09:13 AM What was wrong with her this time? :sobbing: Welcome1 Oct 5th, 2010, 09:23 AM Retirenka ... Vika, why are you so unlucky  :sobbing: DimaDinosaur Oct 5th, 2010, 09:45 AM damnit, her ass is so unreliable, either you enter the tournament to play or get the F out ***** TennisFan66 Oct 5th, 2010, 10:11 AM according to the wta site she retired due to a left thigh strain Thank you for info. Vika :( You could have made a case for 'WTA rules' forcing her to play. She is top 10'er after all and Beijing is a mandatory, so ... but with YEC and apparently Venus out (?) .. Add to that Vika was leading a set .. must have been something which really troubled her... Jane Lane Oct 5th, 2010, 10:47 AM Oh FFS. Vika  CillyUltra Oct 5th, 2010, 10:53 AM Julia! :fiery: You throw away a free ticket into the third round. :( shit happens :timebomb: Patrick345 Oct 5th, 2010, 11:10 AM How many times is she gonna be injured? WTA :sobbing: Have you see her tennis bag episode? Looked like a candy shop. That is one I wouldn´t put on the Tour. You don´t live like a pro athlete, you are getting injured. Derek. Oct 5th, 2010, 11:27 AM Vika. :( This is becoming really frustrating. Spiritof42 Oct 5th, 2010, 11:34 AM Vika. :o Enough of this sh*t already... :tape: What a frustrating year... I sincerely hope this is not a sign of things to come. BlackPanther. Oct 5th, 2010, 12:00 PM WTF :weirdo: Rix643 Oct 5th, 2010, 12:08 PM Have you see her tennis bag episode? Looked like a candy shop. That is one I wouldn´t put on the Tour. You don´t live like a pro athlete, you are getting injured. I've seen it, looked OK to me. Lots of high carb products and a decent mix of high (sugars) and slow (starch) burning type as well. Pros need a lot of calories.. TheBoiledEgg Oct 5th, 2010, 12:10 PM I guess she now dethrones Bartoli as the Queen of retirements now?:tape: Vika :o Absolutely horrible. big diff is Bartoli retires when she's getting her ass spanked Elisse Oct 5th, 2010, 12:22 PM Can't believe how many times Vika has retired this year :o Honestly, I think she would be best to end her season now, rest and recover for next year :help: Hian Oct 5th, 2010, 12:33 PM Vika :o Lucky Timmy. Renalicious Oct 5th, 2010, 02:09 PM Oh my God get your fitness right please, this is so worrying and frustrating to see. jimbo mack Oct 5th, 2010, 02:52 PM yet another retirement? i rest my case °°°VaMoS RaFa°°° Oct 5th, 2010, 03:07 PM poor Vika but it's good for Timea gmak Oct 5th, 2010, 03:23 PM gosh no :( :banghead: and again she was leading :( Vika :( not the year i expected Mightymirza Oct 5th, 2010, 03:26 PM Wtf. Does no one want to qualify for YEC? Is anyone NOT injured or not playing like complete shit?! That would be Dementieva :tape: PerfectForm Oct 5th, 2010, 03:55 PM What's with the Vika bashing for her retirements? If there's anyone who will play on as long as they physically can, its Vika. This girl played till she collapsed not once but twice. She must have had a legit reason to retire being a set up and all. olivero Oct 5th, 2010, 04:08 PM will she ever get a break? wtf?! Break My Rapture Oct 5th, 2010, 04:16 PM Vika getting f*cked by injuries yet again this year. Get well soon gurl. :crying2: simonsaystennis Oct 5th, 2010, 04:30 PM :sobbing: Get well soon Vika hurricanejeanne Oct 5th, 2010, 06:23 PM I think she needs a new coaching staff. This is bizarre for any player, but considering she's had more retirments this year than she's had in her entire pro-career is a bit odd. And worrying. Something in her fitness training isn't being done right. Get well soon, Vika. :sobbing: Serenita Oct 5th, 2010, 06:39 PM Vika your a mess. delicatecutter Oct 5th, 2010, 06:44 PM Poor Vika. :tears: So stoked for Timea though! :woohoo: Mrs. Peel Oct 5th, 2010, 06:45 PM Azarenka has yet to prove that she is a player who can win consistently. She just falls apart, retiring left and right. She is too young to be doing that shite. What a bore. Sander. Oct 5th, 2010, 06:54 PM Happy for Timea, but this is so sad for Vika  KamilZ Oct 5th, 2010, 07:52 PM it's her 7th retirement, if it was not sad it was funny... ret. -> ret. -> ret...keep going Vika :o rucolo Oct 5th, 2010, 08:57 PM Lucky Timea!:) Frustrating year for Vika... Timea or Vesnina in QF!:speakles: 6 retirements in one year? wow ... :help: 7, Fed cup against Bammer too. :spit: Corswandt Oct 5th, 2010, 09:33 PM I think she needs a new coaching staff. This is bizarre for any player, but considering she's had more retirments this year than she's had in her entire pro-career is a bit odd. And worrying. Something in her fitness training isn't being done right. She's just relatively frail physically. Her generic/unexceptional game requires her to play at the best of her limited abilities nearly all the time, so she's constantly placing a huge strain over an apparently weak body. Azarenka, like Wozniacki, must be one of the players who puts in more work in the practice courts, and that will take a toll eventually considering that she isn't a natural athlete like Sunshine. Bacszscszsczczzcsinsczcszsczky = luckiest player in the game. | |
