Nice win for Goerges, good luck vs. Azarenka :) Nice to see her playing well after that horrible loss to Vandeweghe. But she seems to be in good shape, winning Seoul Doubles and beating Stosur and Safina last week (though the latter one is no indicator for good shape, just the name ).

As for Timea, sucks that she can't score any wins on the big Tournaments, guess her ranking will drop if she plays bad at Luxembourg :(

I had already prepared this thread with the text above after Julia had 3 MPs at 63 46 53 40-0!!!

Just wow Timea, I obviously didn't think she could win this one, great win for her and the asian trip was not for nothing. But the most important thing is I wanted her to play Azarenka :D She'll probably get crushed, but anyway, I'd like her to face a good player. GL in your upcoming match and great fighting spirit for pulling this out!! BTW nice revenge for Bad-Gastein Final loss :)

As for Julia, I hope her confidence is not ruined right now, she got crushed against Coco and lost to Timea after MP's, that's definitely not thrilling :( Well, I hope for a nice season-finish in Europe.

BTW its 23:24 in Beijing and they're still playing Tennis there (Agnes vs. Elena V).

Good job Timea. :)

Goerges was up a double break at 3-0 3rd set, up a double break at 4-1 3rd set, and had 4 match points at 5-3 3rd set on Timea's serve one of which was a 2nd serve.

Timea had 3 match points at 6-5 3rd set on Goerges' serve one of which was a 2nd serve.

Timea led 5-0 in the 3rd set tiebreak and then held for 6-2 in the 3rd set tiebreak before double faulting to 6-3.

A clear candidate for choke of the year. :p

F.U.C.K you, Julia :o
how pathetic is that? already in 2nd set her serve as awful, still had all chances to come back to 5-5 but wasted 3 GPs , in 3rd set she had *30 and *41 lead and wasted it, bevor she saved 3 MPs in a row at *56 just to go down immediately 0-5 in TB, wtf? seriously, just terrible , especially after her good wins against Safina and Stosur last week you should think that she is pretty confident right now...but those wins didnt help her at all, just bad, especially as Timea isnt in good shape at all, just terrible choking once again, no brain at all it seems, pathetic :smash: :o

German chockers are back :hearts:

She's the fifth German after Petkovic, Barrois, Schruff and Malek in this year who lost a WTA-/ GS-match after having MP. :o

I haven't seen much of Bacsinszky, just her match against Wozniak in Montreal, but I'm happy for her to pick up this win.

Really too bad for Julia, though. Ah, well, tomorrow is another day.

Annoying loss, but hasn't happened the first time in woman's tennis. :tape:

Andrea and Julia are the only ones that are noteworthy in terms of a Top50 or better career.

beating an in-form goerges is a really good result for timea (after she narrowly failed to beat peer last week).
