Off topic but does anybody know,

until the info is available in English...

Doesn't make any difference if the betting stays open, if the match is never held, bets are all voided anyway.

this finale in Prague takes another hit, and to think her match yesterday is the only one with some quality on center court so far

Yes thank you, I am aware of betting rules :) .. It just took quite a long time before betting was suspended. That was all.

Get well Safarova and GL in next round to Johanna ...

These girls are such sooks.

it says something like she can't train for over a week before getting another scan  you think she should have played and made it worse?

I hope she is okay for the USO series, it's disappointing because she could have done well this tournament.

Another injury

LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (AP)—French Open champion Francesca Schiavone (http://www.tennis.com/players/player_info.aspx?player_name=Francesca+Schiavone) has withdrawn from next week’s Slovenia Open because of a wrist injury.
Organizers said Wednesday the WTA had informed them that Schiavone will miss the tournament due to tendinitis in her left wrist.
Schiavone, who became the first Italian woman to win a Grand Slam title last month, was to be second-seeded at the tournament in Portoroz, Slovenia. Third-ranked Jelena Jankovic (http://www.tennis.com/players/player_info.aspx?player_name=Jelena+Jankovic) of Serbia is the top seed at the $220,000 event.

For the record, if you use the Google Chrome browser (my fave & default), it automatically asks if you want to translate a page to English.

Don't understand how you can say such a thing. Tennis is a demanding sport; hard on the body. People get injured. They do their best to play anyway, but that's the way it is. And the "top" players in a given tourney are seeded exactly because they DO play more (wins=more matches=higher rankings, yo) so they are more apt to become injured because of wear and tear on the body.

I really dislike the name-calling. I find it disrespectful of hard-working athletes.

Speedy recovery, Lucie!
