2002 and 2010 are my favorites! Both times the pic showed the winners with the most genuine happiest of smiles. Knowing what we know now, of course, 1992 is very sweet too. Agassi looks like a kid in the candy store and Steffi looks unreadable.

I think the mens' final finished up really late in 2000 so Pete was late to arrive at the ball but when he finally did turn up he was wearing sweat pants:o I think that is why we see no pics of Vee/Pete together from the ball that year.

That year she's just 25 years old and looking fresh during Wimbledon, love her hairdo. She would have looked gorgeous had she cared to dress up and threw that old robe. She even didn't need a make up.

2007 and 2010 are the best IMO,the Men and Womens Champions are well matched...cool elegance from Vee and Roger and gleeful get down in the trenches and fight it out warriors from Serena and Rafa.
In terms of the Wimbledon ball one, I love that Lindsay wore her customary flats, she probably would have worn flip flops otherwise. :angel:
Petra looks fantastic in the shade of blue. Arguably one of the prettiest ball dresses in recent history.
My favorite is Serena and Rafa from last year, they were so cute. And Momo's gown in 2006 was gorgeous.

Eh, her stomach isn't even particularly big. Her tennis clothes (well, rather the outfit she has worn this year) are unflattering on her. Put her in a normal T-shirt or a dress, like this one, that is fitted to her shape, and there's not really much there.

Not a totally accurate statement IMHO. Serena indeed has gotten better and better because she hangs out with more celebrity type peeps, which has helped heaps. Venus on the other hand don't, and have had some horrible misses, but she has also had some hits. I think for the most part she's done better but don't really care as much as Serena in that regard. Still...
THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I CAN JUSTIFY THAT HOT MESS FROM 2008. It was bad all around.
I think Serena and Roger killing this year. I love the color on Rena, although slightly disappointed it's short.

I guess I'm in the minority because I liked Venus' 2008 jacket. It was Ralph Lauren and very sophisticated. Most of the pics shown don't show the full effect of that long purple gown and the white jacket with the purple trim. I think what would have pulled it off better for her was if she wore her hair up, but the look itself is fabulous. Purple is a color synonymous with royalty and the look was very sophisticated and regal, just like Venus.
Sorry for the pic of Blake Lively. It was the only full length shot of Venus in this look I could get and this was one of those "who wore it better" pics.

Omg what a fabulous picture. Federer's looks have gotten better the older he has gotten and I love the dress and hair on Serena. This wig/weave goes better with Serena's ethnic features than that straight mess from 2010 that people seem to rave about, which was FLAT AND BORING.
Never seen it from this angle before and I must admit it the outfit does look superb because I surely did cringe when I first saw it. Now the hair is another story. A hot mess.

For the people who don't know Althea Gibson, she was the first black winner of a slam and of Wimbledon. When she won Wimbledon she got a parade through New York.
Was Serena also racist towards Hewitt when she dropped him from the partnering her in Mixed Doubles earlier that year? :awww:

She turned up in London a couple of weeks ago looking like a Goddamn mess, but night-and-day difference now - her look is surprisingly sophisticated in the Ball pic. I guess she must have run over to Harrods as soon as she picked up her winner's cheque on Saturday.

Yup...flat and boring. This is a lazy wig. The dress was nice but I am not feeling that wig. The smile though is so cute and Rafa would look so much better if he kept his ratty hair shorter. They are both cheesing hard but his just seems creepy.
