View Full Version : Striking the ball

I have never seen anyone hit the ball so cleanly as Clijsters 2.0. It's so purposeful and direct, it's almost unbelievable, but then it seems like the balls can end up anywhere, whether she likes it or not...Venus by contrast hits that ball in the least confidence-inspiring way, and it can go on or go off just like Kim. I wonder, is there an advantage to hitting as cleanly as Kim? What is it/are they?

I'm trying to learn to play so I'm curious about technique and stuff...if anyone wants to help me and not turn this into a sh!t-fight :)

p.s. fight Serena!

What match are you watching? Kim's forehand is cringe-worthy today.

Neither one, learn to serve like Serena

haha I was trying to not discuss live matches in here, but as I said in my post, even when she's hitting it outside the tramlines or into the net, it's clean. I always thought that sort of clean hitting would end up being more precise but it seems like it's no use either way...haha
