Damn, I hope she wins it. It would be too good.
And then to bow out in USO R1 ....

It's okay, Vera will collect her first slam title and once again Dementieva will be at home wondering if this was her chance to win.

Serena has enough GS. She don't need another one.

More likely Samantha Stosur... which means to beat event GOAT but not winning title.

Polikarpov

Serena just better win this Wimbledon. Shit...imagine the introduction at the U.S. Open

2010 provided her best results, winning Wimbledon. Ladies and gentlemen from Bulgaria/Estonia/the Czech Republic, please welcome Tsvetana Pironkova/Kaia Kanepi/Petra Kvitova

I can deal with Serena, Kim, Zvonareva, and Li winning this title. They AT LEAST have had other results than this blip and maybe another R16/QF in their lifetime.

If Pironkova, Kanepi or Kanepis wins this, it will be the biggest OM*G moment in tennis history.

Yeah, seriously...now we have a bunch of Slam winners...just the flakiest. We just need to take women's tennis as it is and just go home. LORD

Pironkova is just 22. Her game is still improving, she will be a top 20 player soon. Maybe after Wimbledon LOL! Thing is Pironkova mixes it up very well. She gives no rhytmn. I think she has chances but if she makes the final(I think she will) and plays a confident Serena in the final than it will be very tough but hey she took Serena to three sets in their previous match so the Williams sisters do not like to play her. Its good to see Tzveti using her biggest weapon on the court, her intelligence.

Good! We need a Greg Sacks moment.

Interesting thing about Venus. We may be used to the random loss at a slam, but normally she doesn't lose twice to the same person unless they have been #1. At a slam, she has 2 or more losses only against Serena, Jankovic, Davenport, Hingis, Clijsters, and now Pironkova.
