Getting two games against Chan on any surface = time to go Patty.

I've already accepted her retirement, don't know why she doesn't just go ahead and do it.

Good luck in R2 Latisha.

Why does she even bother turning up. One of the easier draws she could get and she still manages to get bagelled.

Fuck you Patty...

Just never play this tournament again...

Chan lost 4 times in last 4years.
And she lost Marion 0-6 0-6 last year.

Unbelievable. What a let down and an absolute disgrace of a performance.

0-6, 2-6 against an opponent who lost 1-6, 4-6 to Mirza last week.

Patty beat Radwanska and took Stosur to a tie break just last month. WTF was this?! 0-6 and 2-6?!!
Are you kidding me?!!

I've always thought she has the shots for grass, but not the movement. While someone like Patty's game give her enough time to get to the balls, she can be good. Still, the score is VERY SURPRISING.

Patty bad on grass or not, tanking or not, like said, Yung-Jan needs the points, and she earned it in style!

Now it's all about doubles Tish, Petrova would be too strong.

I agree with all this. No-one would expect a declining Patty to win more than one round at Wimbledon, but against this opponent with a worse Wimbledon record than Patty, this result is an embarrassment. Being the first player to lose in a grand slam within the first hour is not an achievement that any former top player would like, even on their worst surface!:help:

Shameful for you and disrespectful against the tournament and your opponent!

We all know that she hates grass but she could at least give her best, thatīs what you always should do, especially at a GS and especially when it is your last year as a pro,and this cleary wasnt the case today!

If Patty actually wanted to win this match she would have done, even on grass. I don't see the point of her just showing up and to pick up the cheque when her place could go to someone who actually wants to play.

Just retire, Patty. You'll make more people happy than sad.

Why should she retire? This is her job and she's still making more money annualy than most people do in a year--seems like a pretty cool job to have--better than sitting at a desk all day.
