Andrea  She really played well for majority of the match, should be a good match against Chak in R1. :)

Petkovic is useless. What a choke job.

Why is she useless? Before Rosmalen she had lost three of her four grass matches and now she reached the final of a WTA-tournament. So it is a nice success for her, even she lost today.

Petkovic is useless in the big matches.
Against Kuti is was the same thing, 5 match points in that one. Nothing but CHOKE!

Now this:

1 set and a break up vs Henin, CHOKE to lose the 2nd set.

3-0 up in the 3rd, CHOKE to lose the match

Can't be against calling her by her new name: CHOKOvic!

Kworb, I have a feeling that Justine knows and speaks Dutch more than a little bit but she is shy and a perfectionist. If you or someone who spoke Dutch were to speak with her one on one without cameras rolling she might surprise you.

Very disappointing for poor Andi. Was the better player but as usual she let her head get in the way of her playing. Shes so classy, with a big smile at the net, wish I could say the same for Henin....

Andi will come back from tis though, its only a matter of time before she gets one of these wins, and then it might all change for her. I thought she would have a tough time coming back after that disaster vs. Kuz but she did emphatically.

I think it was when Justine said that Andrea was playing well and giving her a lot of problems. Also the smile at the net was unkind from Justine. I think Justine should have been bitchier to make Andrea feel better. (full sarcasm intended)

So what would you call the 2 chances to serve the match out AND 5 match points against Kuti?
What would you call the 1 set and a break lead in the 2nd, then 3-0 lead in the 3rd against Henin?

If these aren't "chokes", what are they then?

Don't like the scoreline. But at least Justine got another title and hopefully she'll be ready for SW19.

Petkovic needs to do something with her head, because although she's top 20 level, she tends to choke and then cry whenever she loses a close match.

It is worse that we in all likelihood will have a prime minister soon that does not speak Dutch, though the vast majority in Belgium speaks Dutch... ;)

On the other hand, I rarely hear Kim Clijsters speaking French either...
She can, and she speaks pretty well. Then again, I don't see any problem with Justine not speaking Dutch.

Did she let it slip against Sveta at RG? yes.

Today, she served out for the first set (note, no choke), held a break lead in sets 2 & 3, which she surrendered to a more experienced player. Given the frequency of breaks in the WTA, hardly shocking.

It's all too easy to bash, keep the hate to yourself Monderoy. And if it's not hate, go easy on the girl eh?

Honestly, unless you're a die-hard fan :o, there is very little to like about Justine. The way she screams ALLEZ at opponents' errors, which she did often today in the 3rd set, the way she tries to bully, the way she looks over to her coach desperately after each and every point. I look forward to watching her lose at Wimbledon, and she surely will unless she plays better than today. Still looks confused on court, not sure when to attack and when to play defense.

Petkovic's backhand is :help: :help: :help: What an utterly useless shot. When not in the net, it usually just barely made it over and landed short in the court, prime for pickin'.

Poor girl was sobbing right after the match. She had her head under a towel until she had to go up for the trophy ceremony, and she did well to put on a smile and be cheery during the interview. Also, that interviewer was god awful. Pretty unfair question to Justine about Wimbledon. I actually felt bad for her, I'm sure she's tired of getting questions about the one championship she hasn't claimed, especially knowing how hard it will be for her to do it this year.

That match was BAD but she fought and won in the end. Title number 43:D She really needs to rest now, she let a lot of energy in that match and Wimbledon starts in 2 days:scared:

She'll need to do a lot better than that if she wants to play in the second week of Wimbledon though, good luck Ju!

Really I would not call this match a big choke from Andrea. Of course she has her matches where she chokes and ever has had, but this one? She COULD have won it, but should she? Considering she hasn't played much on grass before and still doesn't feel that comfortable on it, considering it was a final against an experienced former World No. 1 player, considering it's womens' tennis where you always have many breaks.... this was a good tourney for her and she'll learn from the experience.
