SAISAI-GOAT Jun 18th, 2010, 10:15 AM Uhmm the 4th Quater is also a cakewalk for Venus  well at least Venus is there  tennnisfannn Jun 18th, 2010, 10:20 AM surely sam will take he chances, i hooe both her and azarenka make the finals in eastbourne so we can see that match up and look forward to it. PushWoz Jun 18th, 2010, 10:22 AM surely sam will take he chances, i hooe both her and azarenka make the finals in eastbourne so we can see that match up and look forward to it. Don't worry, Caro will use her special tennis skills to beat Azarenka 6-0 6-1 with Azarenka smashing 10 rackets :) Rafito. Jun 18th, 2010, 10:47 AM Praying it's Azarenka. Miss Atomic Bomb Jun 18th, 2010, 10:49 AM Jie Zheng Ferg Jun 18th, 2010, 10:54 AM Kimiko will show these babies how to do it :bigclap: zhengjie_lina Jun 18th, 2010, 10:56 AM Jie !!! Pops Maellard Jun 18th, 2010, 10:59 AM I voted for Vika. But really I don't care as long as it's not Caro Push Wozniacki. :o John. Jun 18th, 2010, 10:59 AM Azarenka SAISAI-GOAT Jun 18th, 2010, 11:01 AM I voted for Vika. But really I don't care as long as it's not Caro Push Wozniacki. :o  maybe this is last GS w/ Caro as top 4 seed :p Shvedbarilescu Jun 18th, 2010, 11:02 AM A lot of my faves are in the this quarter actually. I want to see Alex, Kimiko, Magda and Mirjana do well. But they all got crap draws. It will probably be Azarenka, Stosur, Wozniacki or Rezai unfortunately. madmax Jun 18th, 2010, 11:11 AM someone enlighten me, how does Sunshine always end up in cake draws? I can't remember the last difficult draw for her...not that I think she will get anywhere this year anyway PushWoz Jun 18th, 2010, 11:15 AM someone enlighten me, how does Sunshine always end up in cake draws? I can't remember the last difficult draw for her...not like I think she will get anywhere this year anyway What do you mean by CAKEWALK DRAWS? At the start of the Tourn or who she plays, as each round progress? In the US Open 2009 -She drew Kuznetsova 4th Round Was suppose to vs Sharapova/Lena D QF Dinara had a cakewalk draw to the SF there... claypova Jun 18th, 2010, 11:17 AM stosur :cheer2: delicatecutter Jun 18th, 2010, 11:17 AM I'm livid that Princess Magda has to play Caravan first round. I can already tell this Wimbledon is not going to be a good one. :bigcry: madmax Jun 18th, 2010, 11:19 AM What do you mean by CAKEWALK DRAWS? At the start of the Tourn or who she plays, as each round progress? In the US Open 2009 -She drew Kuznetsova 4th Round Was suppose to vs Sharapova/Lena D QF Dinara had a cakewalk draw to the SF there... by that I mean she never meats any distinguished dangerous player in R32/R16 - no Sharapova, Henin, Clijsters. It's always some choking headcase that she is beating before being trashed by a first decent player PushWoz Jun 18th, 2010, 11:22 AM by that I mean she never meats any distinguished dangerous player in R32/R16 - no Sharapova, Henin, Clijsters. It's always some choking headcase that she is beating before being trashed by a first decent player You do realise that Henin/Clijsters just came back and Sharapova was out for a long time. Poova Jun 18th, 2010, 11:23 AM Only people who think tennis doesn't go beyond the Williams sisters, Henin, Sharapova and Clijsters would think this is a cakewalk quarter. moby Jun 18th, 2010, 11:28 AM Kimiko please. :hearts: Or maybe Mirjana will do a "good slam every 11 years" a la Zvereva. Pops Maellard Jun 18th, 2010, 11:29 AM What do you mean by CAKEWALK DRAWS? At the start of the Tourn or who she plays, as each round progress? In the US Open 2009 -She drew Kuznetsova 4th Round Was suppose to vs Sharapova/Lena D QF Dinara had a cakewalk draw to the SF there... Don't forget Caro's cakewalk to the Madrid final last year. Or Caro's seemingly cakewalk to the SF of the FO (which she blew) of facing no Top 10 player to the SF. :p PushWoz Jun 18th, 2010, 11:31 AM Don't forget Caro's cakewalk to the Madrid final last year. Or Caro's seemingly cakewalk to the SF of the FO (which she blew) of facing no Top 10 player to the SF. :p Oh please. Jankovic for example didn't even face a top 20 player to reach the Semis there. She didn't even face a top 10 player until she reached the Final at IW. pesto Jun 18th, 2010, 12:18 PM I don't think this is a cakewalk at all. No slam winners, no clear favourite, but lots of players who can cause damage. Two of the Eastbourne semifinalists, a Rosmalen semifinalist, a former Eastbourne winner, former Wimbledon semi-finalists, on-form players, giant killers. Plenty of banana skins there. SAISAI-GOAT Jun 18th, 2010, 12:20 PM yeah former Wimbledon semi-finalists from 1996 and 1999 :spit: Pops Maellard Jun 18th, 2010, 12:26 PM yeah former Wimbledon semi-finalists from 1996 and 1999 :spit: And 2008. :hehehe: SAISAI-GOAT Jun 18th, 2010, 12:27 PM And 2008. :hehehe: yes of course I know from 2008 ... I just did not mention that one :p SAISAI-GOAT Jun 18th, 2010, 12:28 PM I was going to say Sam will win this quarter easily but now with her loss to Marakova :rolls: goldenlox Jun 18th, 2010, 12:28 PM And 2010 Wimbledon Semi Finalist. And that to the list SAISAI-GOAT Jun 18th, 2010, 12:30 PM And 2010 Wimbledon Semi Finalist. And that to the list none of these player would be 2010 SF if they were in another quarter :p AdeyC Jun 18th, 2010, 12:37 PM someone enlighten me, how does Sunshine always end up in cake draws? I can't remember the last difficult draw for her...not that I think she will get anywhere this year anyway Sunshine??? Which ones that? I am assuming you're not talking about the Sunshine who's in the UK Big Brother house? Polikarpov Jun 18th, 2010, 01:25 PM Zheng Jie please! Huntress55 Jun 18th, 2010, 01:28 PM Sam played so bad today but I dont think that will happen at Wimby. First round will be tough but if she can get through that, hopefully she can make the SF. So go Sammy! :D Otherwise Caro or Vika. goldenlox Jun 18th, 2010, 01:32 PM Vika is playing well this week, beat Kim. Probably Vika or Caro Carotastrophe Jun 18th, 2010, 01:35 PM Vika, Caro or Jie :inlove: wally1 Jun 18th, 2010, 01:43 PM Only people who think tennis doesn't go beyond the Williams sisters, Henin, Sharapova and Clijsters would think this is a cakewalk quarter.Agreed. A lot of interesting and dangerous players in this section. Junzilla69 Jun 18th, 2010, 02:53 PM I voted for Flavia because I'm bias, but I doubt it. R1 Medina Garrigues R2 Dulko R3 Rezai R4 Stosur QF Azarenka/Wozniacki Yeah, not so sure about that. InsideOut. Jun 18th, 2010, 03:00 PM someone enlighten me, how does Sunshine always end up in cake draws? I can't remember the last difficult draw for her...not that I think she will get anywhere this year anyway You got it the wrong way round. It's a cake draw BECAUSE Sunshine is in it. matty Jun 18th, 2010, 03:02 PM Kimiko please. :hearts: Or maybe Mirjana will do a "good slam every 11 years" a la Zvereva. :yeah: Kimoko because I liked what she was wearing at the Players party (she looked warm and it's a chilly 50 degrees where I live) and I'd like to see some old school smack-down... ...and Lucic because her story is almost as sad as Dokics'. KatChr Jun 18th, 2010, 07:37 PM I think Caro has a good opportunity to reach another quarter final at a GS. I doubt that Azarenka will keep her form. Dont think she is mentally strong enough. I dont know about Sam. Her serve should be good on grass but doubt anything else will make an impact. She seemed really slow in IW and Miami. So hoping for Caro to go to the semis and once more show that she does belong in the top10! cellardoor Jun 18th, 2010, 08:30 PM Only people who think tennis doesn't go beyond the Williams sisters, Henin, Sharapova and Clijsters would think this is a cakewalk quarter. agreed tennisfan5 Jun 18th, 2010, 08:34 PM Well, honestly Wozniacki potential QF opponents were radwanska, schiavone, stosur, and clijsters. it could have actually been an easier draw for her if she drew radwanska/schiavone. SARA-GOAT Jun 18th, 2010, 11:45 PM Sam :cheer: @danieln1 Jun 18th, 2010, 11:54 PM Azarenka or Caroline, Stosur can´t play on grass, even if she game is made for grass I guess... Gdsimmons Jun 18th, 2010, 11:59 PM Im thinking Azarenka Ryan Jun 19th, 2010, 12:08 AM Well, honestly Wozniacki potential QF opponents were radwanska, schiavone, stosur, and clijsters. it could have actually been an easier draw for her if she drew radwanska/schiavone. This. This is probably the most interesting Quarter only because there's so many "unproven" top players in it. If Venus or Serena were in it....cakewalk. But when there isnt a dominant player in a Quarter, it gets much more interesting. Any of Caro, Vika, Flavia, Sam, Aravane, or Jie are "favored" to make it. But they'll have to play well to do it. And then the winner gets....Serena! So its not like they were drawn against Safina when she was #1 or something. makirilenko Jun 19th, 2010, 12:43 AM Azarenka and Stosur will meet in the final for this quarter, Azarenka coming on top (she has never lost to Sam). tennisforadults Jun 19th, 2010, 12:51 AM Azarenka or Caroline, Stosur can´t play on grass, even if she game is made for grass I guess... Her game isn't really made for grass. People just assumed it's made for grass because she hits big serves and good volleys. The ball bounces too low to be in her hitting zone. Her topspin and kick serve has very little effect. Her reaction time is not great, so the inconsistent bounces add to her woes. LudwigDvorak Jun 19th, 2010, 02:52 AM Azarenka isn't going to win Eastbourne and then make the SF of Wimbledon. That's too many matches. Zheng will make this or Wozniacki herself. Sassy-Na Jun 19th, 2010, 03:50 AM *wildcard* jie. young_gunner913 Jun 19th, 2010, 06:04 AM Golden Geisha Kimiko or Golden Flower Jie  HotSpot Jun 19th, 2010, 07:38 AM Kimoko. Slutiana Jun 19th, 2010, 08:43 AM What do you mean by CAKEWALK DRAWS? At the start of the Tourn or who she plays, as each round progress? In the US Open 2009 -She drew Kuznetsova 4th Round Was suppose to vs Sharapova/Lena D QF Dinara had a cakewalk draw to the SF there... Bad example. Azarenka and Stosur will meet in the final for this quarter, Azarenka coming on top (she has never lost to Sam). I didn't know that. I guess with her ROS it figures, though. SAISAI-GOAT Jun 22nd, 2010, 02:31 PM the 25 people that voted for Sam :ignore: SAISAI-GOAT Jun 23rd, 2010, 01:42 AM I have feeling Dulgheru will reach her 1st GS SF here :spit: @danieln1 Jun 23rd, 2010, 02:23 AM I have feeling Dulgheru will reach her 1st GS SF here :spit: If Wimbledon was in Warsaw then you would be absolutely right... :bounce: Marshy Jun 23rd, 2010, 04:46 AM I am gonna throw a fly in the ointment and say Kaia. Other than that maybe Kaia. Everyone else is playing like ..... Sp!ffy Jun 23rd, 2010, 04:54 AM Azarenka and Wozniacki are very talented..I'd like to see one of those two. If Dulgheru made it to the SF, I'd cry. samsam4087 Jun 23rd, 2010, 05:29 AM Jie Zheng Alexj Jun 23rd, 2010, 05:48 AM Well, honestly Wozniacki potential QF opponents were radwanska, schiavone, stosur, and clijsters. it could have actually been an easier draw for her if she drew radwanska/schiavone. Looking at seeds 9-32 in her section though, her draw looks pretty easy. klever58 Jun 23rd, 2010, 08:48 AM Azarenka SAISAI-GOAT Jun 26th, 2010, 06:08 PM #1 Choice Azarenka knocked out :tape: :rolls: Sp!ffy Jun 26th, 2010, 06:10 PM I feel really dumb for voting for her. :o Sp!ffy Jun 26th, 2010, 06:10 PM #1 Choice Azarenka knocked out :tape: :rolls: #1, #2, #4 choices knocked out. Some cakewalk quarter, huh? :haha::haha::haha: Players cant even take advantage of the draw...sad. Amalgamate Jun 26th, 2010, 06:11 PM Probably Pusher :sobbing: SAISAI-GOAT Jun 26th, 2010, 06:11 PM #1, #3, #4 choices knocked out. Some cakewalk quarter, huh? :haha::haha::haha: it is still cakewalk quarter  very open without the tournament favorites :( SAISAI-GOAT Jun 28th, 2010, 10:04 PM winners = the 9 people that voted Other :tape: Sp!ffy Jun 29th, 2010, 07:51 AM oh my god :hysteric: | |
