Well done Shvedova. Down 1-5 gets it to 4-5 0-15 on a DF and gifts a tight Dulgheru the match with three brutal UEs on the next four points.:lol:

Well done Alexandra, seems like her shots are really well bouncing on grass....

But Yari really was not playing well in the final set too many easy UE in the last game after having won 11 of 13 points to come from 1-5 to 4-5

She is both

People thought she would be shit on grass...and she is proving them wrong!

Now she only needs to figure out how to play on hard courts because she's way too passive there... Unlike here on grass she goes for more on her shots...

What haters?! :spit: You're kidding right? The people who said she'd never win a MD match off clay and would never get good results the rest of the year.

Yeah but it seemed random to say that when no haters had been in the thread yet.

some amazing rallies there, the point Dulgheru won to go 3-6 5-2 30-30 was indeed GOAT.

No haters are EVER going to admit they're wrong. They're cowards. Example: Chrono's dumbass thread.

What can I say? Alex isn't only exceeding very substantially her detractors expectations of her, the way she is going right now she is exceeding MY expectations of her, and I thought I my expectations of her were pretty lofty and high in the 1st place. Not high enough it would seem. As iPatty says right now Alex's potential is looking limitless. Barely a year has passed since she exploded onto the tour with her success in Warsaw and here she now top 32 and still showing no signs of slowing down her rapid rise up the rankings.

I think it is becoming clearer and clearer. Anyone who says that there is something, anything, that this girl can't do is likely to find themselves eating their words. Alex is making it her career to prove people wrong. Just amazing.

Slava, what can I say? Playing Dulgheru when she has something to prove just isn't a good place to be.

Have a great Wimbledon Slava

Alex, err...just keep doing what you have been doing all year. :yeah:

i didnt know shes already ranked 32  :yeah:
if she continues to progress like this, she should be top 20 easily.

To be fair it did take Alex a very long time to get it together this year. So doubt was inevitably going to creep in. :p

Am I the only one who finds her game somewhat similar to Justine's? Sorry, but I think there are some similarities there?

Anyone with an ounce of tennis IQ would know Alex is a good player by watching her in Warsaw last year. Sure, she had a slow start this. But losing to Wickmayer 10-8 in the third is a bad result, really?? Anyways haters usually only look at the scoreboard and not at the match itself.
