She is out :sobbing:

From her homepage:

Translation:

The rehabilitation does well, but not fast enough to play Wimbledon. I've done everything possible to be ready to fly to England but I didn't have enough time. It was hard for me to cancel Wimbledon since I have many great memories from there. But I have to be sensible and come back when I'm fit again.
Last week I was on court for the first time and played. The weather was perfect and I enjoyed it a lot to do that what I love most. The next few weeks I will also do rehabilitation for my foot and additionally some fitness. I will start to play even more tennis. 8 weeks ago I wasn't that good at swimming, but now it starts to look better ;)
Thanks to all who support me in this situation.

Fucking hell, my Legion of Blondes is being decimated and the stupid tournament hasn't even started yet.

Sigh. Poor sabine. I was at her match with Sveta last year; she was fab. I hope she can come back soon, seems like ages since she played.

It's a sign you must turn to TOB's side ;)

Does anyone know what her ranking will be now? It's really unfortunate, but I'm hoping she comes back better than ever so she can fulfill her potential.

Does she get a protected ranking? Or else where will she drop to?

You need to be out for at least six months :(

Btw: Her ranking would be around #75, I guess. :sobbing:

I foresee Lisicki struggling with injuries until she finally has enough. Charleston 2009 will remain her first & last-hurrah. Mark my words :o

Some people's legs are just kinda like that. Serena's another one.

Anyway I'm glad she's being sensible. Sabs.
