Well I think it is more like Jie was sleeping in the 1st and finally woke up in the 2nd and the 3rd.

This is very typical Jie indeed. She won her first 3 matches in AO having been crushed in the 1st set.

That's what got me about this match's result. Jie isn't a bad player, but she's not that good to take Peer down like she did in sets 2 and 3. Peer's 1st serve pts won went from 80%+ in the 1st, to 50%+ in the 2nd and 45%+ in the 3rd.
