Kaktusino posted it in the fan club, Serenidad has been told she has. I would guess it's official at this point.

Fuck all of you miserable bastards who said she wasn't injured and looked to be just fine during Paris. You're all idiots.

I hope she recovers well enough for the US hardcourt series.

I wouldn't be so sure it is a good thing.

Seeds 13-16 have a 50% chance to meet a Williams Sister in 4th round.
Seeds 17-24 have only 25% chance.

won't she just drop to #7??

#8 if Clijsters reaches SF.

Bit of a bugger for Dement, she has always seemed to be fairly lucky with injuries over her career, but caught up with her this time. I'll probably get proved wrong and someone will come up with a huge list of injuries, but seems she was indestructable.

When is the last time she missed a Grand Slam?

Did not enter Wimbledon 98
Lost in Qualies US Open 98
Has been in every slam since.

Most impressive stat regarding her durability and talent? She has been no lower than the 17th seed in a slam dating back to the French in 2001.

I knew she was injured from start, was never in doubt. But I am extremely sad  that it's that bad, because she had two good years on Wimby and was really someone I was cheering for! Not to mention that she was prolly the only person that actually challenged Sisters on grass in last two years. This is shocking and I hope she will be able to play. Cmon Lena!

As for the 'miserable bastards'. You know, its the same 10-15 nasty people, who spam their nastiness all over TF. 'Ignore' has worked like a charm for me and my TF experience is now much more pleasant and enjoyable.

I find there is some really knowledgeable people here, but unfortunately often those opinions and serious posts are over-looked because of kids playing keyboard warriors.

:o I guess this will never be understood. She really..but really doesnt think the WS matches are fixed.

She said 'a family decision'.. which by her poor English meant that it will be decided in the match (when the match ends) that one of them is going to lose. Like a battle in the family. Not that the matches are pre-fixed

That was a non-prepared quote. She formulated her thought badly but she didnt mean it the way u say it..
