Let me guess. You just thought the youngsters needed some support?

Elke to the top...

She went down about 100 places this year and hasn't had any good results in the ITF-challengers this year :(

I really really hope 2002 will be better, cause if she fails again next year I'll have to give up on her! She's really making NO progress at all! The only highlight of 2001 was the doubles title in Pétange (LUX).

isn't she like having a recurring back problem or so?

Go Elketje!

Yeah she's been bothered by back problems for a long time now. Physically she's not as strong as Kim and if they don't find a solution for her back probs I think she might quit tennis in the near future....

i'm sure she's multitalented enough to find her way in a life without tennis

i dunno if i would always wanted to be compared to "big sis" that must be annoying for her. I can understand why she'd want to make her own life, without trying to get out of the shadow of her sister in tennisenvironments. And at least her parents won't push her into it. That's cool of them.

that's good news.

I think you see a lot of Kim in Elke (or the other way around )when she plays, especially her backhand

And I'm sure she will have good results in the future, just give her some time.

Orange Bowl is one of the most important youth tournaments...

I agree it must be very hard for her beeing compared to kim who is so good.....
Lei(their father)says he doesn't want his daughters to be jugded;and certainly not because one plays better tennis then the other....
The girls are very down to earth and although many people consider Lei to be the next "pain in the ass tennis dad" i think he's doing a very good job with his girls!
GO ELKE ,we're all chearing for you!!!!!

GOOD LUCK ELKE!!!

Well although I'm sure Elke hates to be compared to her sister all the time and Lei said that he doesn't want them to be judged, I don't think comments of one is better than the other will come up too often because of the personalities of Kim, Elke and Lei... they're all pretty calm and collected and stuff when you compare them to say, the Williams...

Elke is a very good doubles player. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets her best results on the senior tour in doubles.

GO ELKE! :bounce:
