I think Peer is pretty underestimated

Serena in 3. I agree with cassie88, Peer is underestimated. She has been playing like a top 10 player this year. This is where the tough matches really start (though Pavly could be considered one of the tougher low seeds).

Peer has given Serena so much trouble in the past. I say Serena in an epic.

peer is playing well and can take advantage of a sick serena. if serena is not effected by whatever is ailing her, it's hers to win.

For the first time, I actually have a feeling Shahar can do this. I didn't believe against Venus and Henin, but here I do think she can pull this off.

All she needs is one set, really. Statitstics shows that in 2010 taking a set means a victory for Peer (11-0 in 3 sets matchs...)

Serena is a better matchup for Shahar than Venus is. Despite their being straight set wins for Serena (other than AO), Serena-Peer matches have been pretty close affairs. should be a fun one

Serena's record is 4/0, the only time Peer made Serena work was at the '07 AO. They haven't played in a while but the only time they played on clay (Rome '07) Serena won 63 63 and Peer was playing much better at the time.

Venus and Serena play very different games which gives them different matchup types with different people. That being said Serena should still win, but using what Venus does to an opponent to predict Serena's success is a misconception.

I agree with you..but Shahar is the type of player who lets her opponents get into a rythm. Now if we were talking about somone else like Schnyder I would be worried for Serena a little

Look at Peers record, she goes great and then gets flogged by big and accurate hitters.
