 At 28, she retires from professionnal tennis. We'll always remember your legendary serve and your amazing fight against Pova (6-3 4-6 9-7 first round of OA 2OO7) and Safina (Ogdf Paris 2oo7).
Enjoy your retirement!

sad to hear but she's had a nice long career. Never beat a top 20 player or won a title but had a string of semi-finals and quarter-finals she achieved during her career, plus numerous ITF events
shame she never won a match at the french open but at least she had wins in other home events (paris indoors, nice)

A big shame, as Camille was always one of my favourite players. However, she has had a very respectable career, given her talents and I wish her luck with whatever she chooses to do in life. :wavey:

Tears of emotion (just kidding)
She really deserved to win at least one match among those lost more than tightly to Masha, Safina, Schnyder & Hantuchova...

Since the Sharapova match in 07 I am a big fan of Camille :) Last year she had family problems and her results weren't good, so the retirement was expected. I'm glad I was able to watch her play against Dementieva in USO and against Ivanovic last year, where she had an entire set without eing broken :worship:
Good luck Camille :D
