View Full Version : Ummmm... So French Open is up next. Just don't embarrass yourself Ágnes.

Well with the recent disastrous form, I (and I think most of us) have low expectations for the French Open. Unfortunately Ágnes has fourth round to defend :help:. Hopefully she won't embarrass herself and will at least try  and you never know what can happen .

And being unseeded means the draw is considerably more difficult :sobbing:.

First round draw is Foretz :) at least this means she should win a match (But it is ÁGi) and she is against a Frenchie so there could be a livestream since they are likely to put her on a fairly big court :yeah:.

Will she play doubles?

Gregorio87

Yes and she has a quite good partner:p
"I hope to be 100% fit for Roland Garros. I will play doubles with Dinara in Paris."

OMG Ági is playing tomorrow :scared: I would have rathered a later start since she is injured, but I guess if she wins she gets more rest time after .

The match is last on Court 2, so it will most likely get a livestream, but I will most likely not see it  maybe a little bit (and only maybe) but I really doubt I will be able to follow it all as I am busy tomorrow....

Anyway, best of luck Ági :D:cheer::toothy:.

the draw is OK,I think,it could be worse and atleast she is far(too far, actually) to the insane 1st quarter.Plus she should win her first match, but let´s see how the leg has healed:scared:
Good luck tomorrow anyway:bounce:

Altough Agi leads 1-0 against Nadia,I´m really worried because she crushed today Zhang 6/0 6/3 despite only 39% 1st serve in.Nadia also won 100% with her 1st serve(19/19):help::scared:

Agi :yeah:
I saw the first few games and then had to go and was really worried, but then I saw the last few games and was really happy to see her come through :)

I don't see her beating Petrova though :scared:

Doubles R1 vs. Baltacha/Dekmeijere :bounce:
Nice R1 :D. But then R2 vs. VRP/Shaughnessy who just won Warsaw or Black/Vesnina :scared:

iGOAT
May 24th, 2010, 10:28 AM
Yeah the R2 in doubles is scary :help: but if they can win a round that is nice, and Ági/Safina do have the talent to beat one of those good times, just probably won't use it.

Ági not playing doubles tomorrow .

Unless Sanowa loses she'll probably be playing singles and doubles in one day because the higher-ranked player would get priority.

Ági playing tomorrow singles and doubles :scared: dumb of the organizers to schedule both  but at least this means she will get off-days in between :yeah: (well actually, she'll probably just lose both...).

Singles is first on Court 3, so probably a livestream, doubles is third on Court 4, so I don't think so.

Well then went fast, 6-1, 6-2 :weirdo: I didn't expect a win, but this is just embarrassing herself :tape::hysteric:.

She fought well in the last game (saving five match points) but she only took risks on match points (pushed on the other ones), which is why those were the only points she could win. It's really disgusting .

iGOAT
May 26th, 2010, 10:47 AM
And there's still a match to go on court before her doubles begins, so she will get rest time.

Ágnes and Safina better get their heads out of their asses for the doubles :help::weirdo: both performances were ludicrous (although I am thrilled for Kimiko ).

iGOAT

Wow :bolt: Ágnes/Sanowa won doubles 6-1, 6-1 :eek::worship: very nice :drool::yeah:.

Black/Vesnina are up next, presumably they will get a day of rest tomorrow though  win is unlikely, but this was dominant, so they obviously have a chance.

Singles was pretty bad. Moonballing and pushing on the fh in particular, as you say iSzavay. But now both of these girls can concentrate on the doubles, which might turn out well for them. Black and Vesnina are reasonably tough, but not nearly as unbeatable as Black/Huber were.

Translation?

The leg was wrapped, but I think it was okay. The grass season better be WAY better than clay :silly:.
"It was a long day, with a lot of rain delays, and besides this at the and I had to go to doping control too - said Ági to MTI.- I realy felt against Petrova the result of the fact, that in the last three weeks besides two trainings I had only one match. With one word, I was not even close to being fit. Furthermore at the beginning I blow away a few break points, at this point I've started to hurry up the game, which came with more errors. At the same time Nadia found her confidence, she was serving very well, and I didn't felt confortable at the court after the lost first set. I knew, that I can't change the course of the match, and the negative attitude never helps. I've tried to vary the game, not to enter in a flat (? I'm not sure if this is correct) tennis, beacuse she is better on that, but it was not enough. But I was happy, that my leg didn't hurt anymore, and if I begin to train, I will be ok to Wimbledon."

"I like very much to play doubles with Safina, we are playing in a good mood toghether. Because both of us had droped out from singles, we didn't had anything on us, and now we want to win the doubles- she said laughing.- I've played much better, obviously partly because, I didn't had to cover the whole court, and the charge was divided too. Otherwise Zalameda is playing a little bit strange tennis, she doesn't usually plays singels, sometimes even her Czech partner was smiling on her."

Sorry for my English.

Agnes Szavay Hi guys! Unfortunately, I could not make the second round. I could feel that I was not able to train for almost 3 weeks. I was not lucky in the first couple of games and i lost some really important points. We played really good in doubles and I'm very happy about our win:) I'm looking forward to our next match. It rains a lot. Hope everyone enjoys watching the Garros! What is your tip? Who will win this year?
