Same. This is my favourite Parker Lewis matchup.

Re: predictions, GOAT is a horrendous matchup for Radwanska due to her ultra-aggressive baseball batter ROS and overwhelming firepower in general. If there's a top 10 player that GOAT can still beat even now, it's Radwanska. [cop out] But I have no idea about how GOAT is playing right now, so I feel that I can't actually predict how this will go. [/cop out]

Wouldn't that return of serve likely result in a lot of errors on Aga's slow serves though?

Who will win?
I believe Radwanska will win comfortably. However, if Ana does beat Rad, her confidence will be repaired to a large extent, and she could be a final 16 player.

Mar 25th, 2010, 10:22 PM
I won't buy into getting my hopes up just because she won her first match, I'm too scared of being heartbroken :p

On this year's form, Aga shouldn't have many problems with Ana, but nobody really knows how Ana will play.

Safe money is on Radwanska. Please surprise us Ana.

Radwanska is going to have little trouble tearing apart Ivanovic's game. I can't imagine Ana gained much confidence even though she won her first round match, she played quite sloppy tennis.

This is perfect match-up for aNa and her game (if she back her hyper-aggressive old style), but on other hand it's maybe too early. She just broke scandalous 9 sets losing strike since january, so win against in-form TOP10 aGa already now is probably too much. But on other hand aNa has weapons for that no doubt...

This match has very interesting prelude today:
In 2nd set of todays match aGa won all 12 points on opponents serve.
In 2nd set of todays match aNa won 13 out of 14 points on her 1st serve.

Awww watching Ana vs Aga at Linz is so depressing ... But maybe we will see a return to form? It seems crazy to say in a match between world no.9 and world no.58 but i think the match is on Ana's racquet..if she turns up is aggressive, is smart and confident (everything she hasnt been in months) then she wins, if shes error ridden and playing with no confidence then Aga wins in 2 :( GOOODLUCK ANA

i wasn't a fan of ana's but her decline has been sad to see.

Mar 26th, 2010, 12:50 AM
Well she's started working with Heinz Gunthart so hopefully he's reinforced that her forehand is one of the great shots in the womens game and she'll start to believe in it again and I hope he makes her throw the ball 500 times up in the air every morning in the same place before she does anything else cause her throw up for her serve is nothing short of ridiculous. She clearly has the drive and what's missing is the confidence!

they are playing on 4th biggest court :oWhat do You expect

There is Hantuchova/Petrova showdown on court#1... there is of course no place for any WTA match on court#2 at all b/c several ATP and ATP-doubles showdowns like for example (Q)Giraldo/Youzhny. Court#3 is perfect for Radwanska - but only for her doubles match against MattekUSA/Yan... in singles this court is reserved for real showdowns like Petkovic/Shvedova snd Hercog/Bacsinszky (with such star-power who cares that they all is out of TOP40).

So court#4 seems like very logical choice
Credit to organizers

I hope Agnieszka - though I wish Ana all the best in her comeback to the top, I don't want her to start by beating my favourite player :)
Aga, 100% focus from the start please

By the way, court 2 where this match is to take place is actually slightly bigger than court 1, it has 200 more seats.
I don't personally care which court they are playing on, as long as there is some sort of a stream available... but that's probably too much to ask today. See you all at the score-bored

I dont know why they put this on a minor court. Why do You think that some rational reason and explanation must exist for this fake mystery? This organizers is simple stupid... period. Also they hate womens tour (they put yesterday best ranked player from womens draw Wozniacki to play on court#3).

All seeded players which will play today (in Singles) on 2nd and 3rd court:
[9] F Gonzalez (CHI)
[13] M Bartoli (FRA)
[13] M Youzhny (RUS)
[20] G Simon (FRA)
[23] J Melzer (AUT)
[25] M Baghdatis (CYP)

Seeded players which will play today (in Singles) on court #4:
[5] R Soderling (SWE)
[6] A Radwanska (POL)
[7] M Cilic (CRO)
[12] Y Wickmayer (BEL)
[16] T Berdych (CZE)
[25] A Ivanovic (SRB)

Todays opening matches on two Miami biggest courts is already over: Verdasco trashed his unseeded opponent 6-1 6-2 and Youzhny humiliate Columbian Qualifier 6-0 6-1 losing in average less than 10 points per sets. Perfect choice for big stage... no doubt.
