And she drew Schynder in Dubai and beat her 6-2 6-2. Infact she has won her last three 1st round main draw matches all with the loss of just four games each.

Additionally in the 2nd round in Indian Wells, Dulgheru took a set off Martinez Sanchez which is more than Azarenka and Wickmayer were able to do in the next two rounds.

Yes...Azarenka is the worst draw any Romanian player can get. Azarenka is truly the WTA's Romanian killa. Azarenka's results against Romanians are simply crushing.

In eight main draw matches against Romanians Azarenka has never dropped a set. She has lost a mere 24 games over those 16 sets. She has double bageled Niculescu, Olaru and Cirstea. Against Dulgheru the one time they met Alexandra got double breadsticked. Only once in eight matches has a Romanian won more than 4 games against Azarenka.

As a fan of Romanian tennis this is never a draw I like to see but it will certainly be a huge test for Alexandra. If she can win even 4 games that would be a good effort.

Well done Alexandra. Face it people, Dulgheru is no longer the walking bye of the WTA. She is learning very quickly how to compete on hardcourts.
