I knew Mathilde was really beatiful but I'm nicely surprising with Kristina. She can be sexier than many other girls.

omg no... kristina is just 16 years old, why putting her in that crap the wta did make to the tour?!!why all this crap about being glamour has to do with playing tennis?I hate that image they put to the wta tour since sharapova.:(
well at least that is a "soft" photoshoot. Not like the awful one they did in dubai, they made appear the players like some ridiculous call girls.:tape::help:

yes they are pretty but i prefer kristina focus on tennis and make people know her by that, not because she's good looking.
Look at ivanovic and now sharapova.Dont agree with that at all.She shouldnt do that kind of thing at her age.

* Former champion submitted entry for 2010 tournament

Two players who have already submitted their entries for this tournament are 24-year old Mathilde Johansson (http://www.itftennis.com/womens/players/player.asp?player=35013312) and 16-year old Kristina Mladenovic (http://www.itftennis.com/womens/players/player.asp?player=100090843), both from France. Both players feature on the tournament promotional posters and also in a short promotional video (http://www.valid01.ideopress.com/).

Mathilde Johansson (http://www.itftennis.com/womens/players/player.asp?player=35013312) made her first appearance here in the 2001 qualifying event and first featured in the singles main draw as a Wild Card entrant in 2003. The 2010 tournament will see her competing in the singles main draw for the fifth successive year. Johansson, who achieved a career high WTA ranking of 59 during 2009, will be looking to improve on her previous best finish in Cagnes-sur-Mer which saw her reaching the second round in both 2008 and 2009 and add to her career total of seven singles titles on the ITF Pro Circuit. During the week of the tournament, Johansson will be celebrating her 25th birthday but will she be adding to this celebration by taking the singles title?

2009 ITF Junior World Champion Kristina Mladenovic (http://www.itftennis.com/womens/players/player.asp?player=100090843) made her ITF Pro Circuit debut in September 2007 but didn’t feature again until the 2008 Cagnes-sur-Mer tournament, one of two she competed in that year. 2009 saw her claim her biggest Junior title when she won the Roland Garros singles final, which she nearly repeated at Wimbledon, and also begin to play more regularly on the ITF Pro Circuit. In April 2009 she reached her first ITF Pro Circuit singles and doubles finals, both coming at the same tournament in Foggia, Italy. Although finishing as runner-up in the singles final, having come into the main draw via the qualifying event, she did claim the doubles title. With a current WTA singles ranking of 181, also her career high, and as a Semi Finalist here in 2009, she will be one to watch out for when the 2010 Cagnes-sur-Mer tournament gets underway.

For those lucky enough to be able to attend in person, the 2010 Open GDF Suez de Cagnes-sur-Mer Alpes-Maritimes will be taking place at Parc des sports Pierre Sauvaigo à Cagnes-sur-Mer from April 24th.

Can one of the two former champions to have entered in 2010 collect a second Cagnes-sur-Mer singles crown?

Will a Frenchwoman claim the singles title for the first time since the 2004 tournament?

There has only been the one non-European singles champion here, could 2010 be the year this changes?

To find out the answers to these and other questions, plus to follow the progress of both Johansson and Mladenovic, plus all other entered players, visit the tournament’s home page where results will be uploaded on a daily basis following the close of play each day.

This should be a good tournament :yeah:.
