Utterly awful video. I love Gaga and all, but it's a poor mess of a song to start with and the video is boring. I like her new look, though.

I just saw the video and I am not a fan. First of all, it has nothing to do with the song. It was almost just an excuse for Gaga and Co. to try to put together a short film and use the song as background music. Secondly, Beyoncé can not act at all and all of her scripted parts are terrible. I'm still mad Telephone was released as a single over far superior tracks on The Fame Monster. Incidentally, those would have all made for more interesting video themes as well.

BTW, I retract my earlier assessment of the video. It does make sense (and it is conceptually related to the song), and Gaga actually explained the meaning behind it. Let me add to your list.

Madonna writes scripts, a bit more complex than writing a 300 word song. Britney I won't even talk about, but she must also be able to write songs, because tbh, writing a song is easier than a poem.

Madonna has pretty much done almost every popular music genre there is, besides rock. Britney had done pop-electronic (which is what GaGa does). None of the mentioned ones have done solely electronic music, only pop-electronic.

If you want to judge the dancing. GaGa and Beyoncé can dance but that's about it, none of them can even create a dance. Whereas Madonna and Britney can create own dances, though their dancing lately is off. But when it's on, it's more intense than what the other 2 will ever produce.

Madonna can play guitar, piano, harp. Madonna is also the only one that had a real instrumental education out of them all. Though I must admit GaGa can work her piano well, but it's not that hard with a solely 16 key setup.

Madonna writes scripts, a bit more complex than writing a 300 word song. Britney I won't even talk about, but she must also be able to write songs, because tbh, writing a song is easier than a poem.

Madonna has pretty much done almost every popular music genre there is, besides rock. Britney had done pop-electronic (which is what GaGa does). None of the mentioned ones have done solely electronic music, only pop-electronic.

If you want to judge the dancing. GaGa and Beyoncé can dance but that's about it, none of them can even create a dance. Whereas Madonna and Britney can create own dances, though their dancing lately is off. But when it's on, it's more intense than what the other 2 will ever produce.

Madonna can play guitar, piano, harp. Madonna is also the only one that had a real instrumental education out of them all. Though I must admit GaGa can work her piano well, but it's not that hard with a solely 16 key setup.

I don't think there's anyone today who'll replicate Madonna's career length and success. I think Beyonce will end up fading into the background, still having succes but quiet success, same with Christina (they'll end up with careers like Celine Dion's now, still sell albums/tours but can't appeal to the younger generation). Just saw the video. That was interesting. :lol: It was fun for the hell of it but not a video I'll be watching again and again. The video does not suit the song IMO. All the catchy dance of the song is just broken up and taken away with this kind of video, and after all that there isn't musically any climax in this song. And having had it on my ipod for a few months now I'm kinda over it. Still, nice collaberation and a couple of alright songs/videos.
