she seems very smart!

good match from andrea, very solid counter punching and nice serving too! She definently seems like a good up and coming player! Nice to see a girl from Bosnia doing well.

Aravane hit too many UE as I said would happen and she would lose, the problem is she switches over to getting more balls in too late in the match! Also she needs to get away from moratoglou!

The Germans I like both lose :(
And yet, the ones I don't care for are winning  at least it was against rezai

I love the interviewer :worship: He actually asks questions where the answer isn't: My opponent played very well today!

Andrea is so gifted at languages. She spoke both French and English today. I assume she speaks Serbian and German as well. I really like her :D

Powerful groundstrokes from both players. On the other side lots of ballbashig but it was nice match after all. Lovely interview. Her english is very good. I didn't know Petkovic is so interested in politcs and that she wants to start her own party in the future. :hearts:

Will she be dangerous for Dementieva ?

I've never seen the german in action

Good win!

Good win for Andrea, but I almost expected that, Aravane wasn´t that impressive at all against Rodina and Andrea just played more solid, she still needs to be more confident in some situations, but I hope that she will learn that! :)

Interesting match against Elena now! :D

If Aravane loses to Andrea in France then there is no need to play the Fed Cup match, just say Germany is the winner :tape:

unless Bartoli plays :rolls:

It will be routine for LenaD unless she plays an awful match. It was Aravane's inconsistancy that let Petkovic back in in the 3rd set.

Well i'd hope so considering her parents are from Serbia and she's lived in Germany for her whole life! She has an unconsistantly awesome forehand and rezai has an unconsistantly amazing backhand.

Get a brain when she plays would be useful too, otherwise she'll always have setbacks like she's had in the past and will never really be able to be consistent

Aravane that was pretty bad overall. Played well at end of 2nd set but in general serve was crap, and way too may UE's :(
Pity in front of her home crowd
Petkovic did well tho, held her nerve well to serve match out after going from 5-0 to 5-3, she could easily have cracked.
Good luck to her v Elena.

Interesting that Petkovic wants to start her own political party after she retires from tennis.

This was a very competitive match, unfortunately Rezai ballbashes herself out of games. She tries to play like a 5ft 11" player, even though she is closer to 5ft5". Rezai has talent, but the way she harnesses her talent needs to be adjusted.

Petkovic was laeading 2-0 in the 3rd set, but trailed game 3 0-40. Petkovic came back with 5 straight points, which included 2 aces, 2 unreturned serves and a Rezai unforced error. Petkovic would pull off another comeback in game 5 set 3 trailing 15-40, Petkovic came back to win game 5, taking a 5-0 lead. Rezai would not quit, winning the next 3 games, before losing game 9.

Rezai has to learn to hold on to leads. She was up a set on Serena Williams and 5-2 in the 2nd set earlier this year, when the roof caved in. A lead in the WTA is never safe, unless it's Serena.

Congratulations to Petkovic, who played a very good match. Petkovic was able to recover the momemtum she lost in set 2. Now she faces Dementieva with no margin for error.

this is a little offtopic, but when Moratog came on court with Yanina, the next game she hit 3 UE in a row going for broke off nothing and then lost the match. So I don't think his advice (hit the cover off the ball whenever u can, sometimes when you can't) really worked for her.

Once she gets Spanish and Russian in her repetoire, she will have all the main languages conquered. :)

I love the interviewer :worship: He actually asks questions where the answer isn't: My opponent played very well today!

I loved it, when he asked Safarova how it felt to win a match again after she has bascially sucked for two years. That was all levels of awesome.

I´d like interviewers to be more badass. Ask the tough questions?

Justine, don´t you get to talk to your coach in pratice, or why do you always keep talking to him during matches.

Vera, do you think a sports psychologist could help with your mental problems?

Ana, do you train at all these days or does sucking come natural to you?

Caroline, do you think your style of play is suited to win Grand Slams. Who was the last pusher to win one?

Aga, have you heard of weight rooms?

Vika, do you think there is a future for you in say porn synchronization?

Have you sold one of these ugly dresses yet, Venus?

Serena, are you telling me you really can´t beat Bammer or Zakopalova? Can you call me, when you plan on tanking a match, this job only pays so much....

...speaking of money, Jelena, I´ll do you for money or free if you want.

Great upset, Andrea!:D:bounce:

8 Aces, 4 DFs.

Really strong performance in sets 1 and 3. I`m impressed.:yeah:
She served well when needed.

Her coach's advice after the second set sounded like he just wanted her to keep pummeling the ball, saying she would win for sure if she landed them. Does this Mouratoglou guy really know his stuff?

Aravane played well in patches, but she's still missing the consistency. I'm afraid her coach isn't gonna help her at all, tactically. She should look into hiring someone else.

When Reazai plays she looks like she doesn't even think. Just smash the ball. Such a stupid ball basher. I wonder even why she has a coach.

Well said :yeah:

Mouratoglou is the worst coach possible. Every girl he has been working with has ended up being a stupid and slumping ballbasher! Yesterday Aravane never constructed points and was a total mess each time she tried to approach the net.

Well done Andrea!
