Sarah Taylor retired and I think she got a degree from UNC and currently works for the USTA, its on USTA.com somewhere
Marrisa Irvin got married and had a child (I might be thinking about Samantha Reeves-who got married and had two)
I saw Jessica Kirkland when she played the 10k in Atlanta and she said she is trying her best to come back despite a massive shoulder injury she sustained in the past

Irvin  forgot all about her.

It's probably been answered in other threads like this, but what happened to Daja Bedanova?

what about Bea Bielik and Lenka Dlhopolcova?

Kevin.
Feb 10th, 2010, 02:31 AM
i am surprised no one has put 'what happened to ana ivanovic's game' :tape:

For Bea, my best guess is that she has a job with her degree she got from Wake Forest..

EDIT: Before the 2002 US Open she turned professional before her senior year.

She had a baby a few years ago and now she's a commentator in Russia.

Is Bovina still playing or has she given it up too? I had high hopes for her and Bedanova.

Meileen :hearts: I miss the days when she was the 3rd or even 2nd ranked American player.

Likhovtseva, Bovina, Asagoe, and Kurhajcova are my faves from the what happened list.

P.S. What about Lindsay-Lee Waters?

I saw Tu walking around on the outside courts of this year's AO.
She was wearing a pair of tight jeans and I noticed her butt is much bigger now than in her playing days....

Does she ever pick up a racket just for fun? Anyone know.

Tina Pisnik never officialy retired, though all those car accidents fatally(sports wise) damaged her neck and she just disappeared in 2006. She's running a tennis school, working with kids. I think she also got a huge compensation from LA organizators for that car accident

She's barely recognizable these days, her haircut is boyish, very short, to say the least, and her fashion style is questionable as well. Looks like a boy in early 20s. Not liking it:mad:

I can post a pic of her once I get back from work:unsure:

She wrote on my facebook wall a couple weeks ago that she's trying to work her way back up! I know i'm a loser for sharing that, but I didn't think she'd respond to me so thought I'd share. :p

Love her. :hearts:

She had a back injury way back in 2002, tried t get back on tour for a few years then finally gave up... She used to go out with another czech player but I don't remember his name... I met her in RG a few years ago (in 2007 I think), she was so surprised that someone recognized her (she was on of my top faves) and told me she wouldn't get back to tennis because of her back...

Likhovtseva retired at the end of 2007 I think, but Tarpischev told her he wanted to her continue so she could play Fed Cup or the Olympics, but then he didn't use her and stopped playing again.
Asagoe retired a few years ago as well.
Lindsay Lee-Waters is still playing in ITFs, played Aussie Open Qualies this year and USO Qualies last year.

That's true but she still retired from her last tournament (USO 2R doubles - gave a walkover). :(

well chanda herself insinuated last year while she was announcing that a comeback was not ruled out...... Lindsay on the other hand says theres noway she'd come back with two kids, but IMO it'd be easier to have 2 kids instead of 1......because they'd have each other to play with....but I doubt shed come back....

lol, I just meant that kids need a LOT of attention; however, 2 is better than 1 in the aspect that 2 can entertain each other while 1 can only entertain himself so much with wandering attentions....... 3 would be a bit much though.....
