:D

Just started flurrying here. Calling for about a foot maybe more where I live now. DC and Philly you guys are getting hammered at the moment. They say DC could end up with 3 feet in places.

What's more, another storm looks to dump even more snow Tues night and Wed in all the same places. Very exciting time for snow lovers like myself. :D

I heard the same about above the city having less snow. But this morning I heard only 1 to 3 inches tops for below the city... Above the city just a dusting to 1+... The totals must've gone up. Great, I was supposed to be out tomorrow but guess I'm gonna be shoveling.

Anyone here from Baltimore? Baltimore is ground zero right now, they are saying if it continues as it is now they could break their all time record with over 30 inches of snow. Incredible. I am so jealous only having about 3 measley inches so far. And to think I was in Baltimore last weekend too :sobbing:

CJ, why would you be jealous of people having record amounts of snowfall? Especially considering snow is treacherous and causes some people to get into bad car accidents and wreck their cars? :sobbing:

Omg, there is so much snow outside, and it's still coming down. I hope there is still a grocery store open today because I hardly have any food. Thank God I am gay live in Dupont Circle so I can walk everywhere instead of drive.

I woke up to about 6 inches. NYC really got screwed with this storm though. Manhattan had a dusting if that. Crazy cutoff. Just 20 miles to my south they have well over a foot. Meteorologist just said that all of Feb looks to be cold and snowy for the northeast. :D

So, beautiful. I am 35 miles east from NYC, and we got healthy 6-7 inches.More than enough to make everything look beautiful, and not enough to cause any trouble. For me it was a blessing. I needed to do some work with my car this morning, and normally the place where I do it is so crowded. And this morning I was .. the only customer.. :)
And they say another major snowstorm is coming in a couple of days, and this time it is likelier to be a direct hit at NY Metro area most.

Why yes, yes I do. It's bad, much worse than Erie and I know Edinboro ranks as the snowiest place in the state of Pennsylvania. Funny how the college brocures never advertised the snow in any of the pictures, although I get a kick out of the foreign exchange students who act like snow is the craziest thing theyve ever seen. But I admit it's bad. My freshman year the snow started in early October and didnt let up till April, and it's basically like that every year. Just 2 weeks ago we got hit pretty bad and the accumiliation went well over 2 feet. It just never thaws and the snow mounds around campus are taller than some of the buildings, no joke. And when it thaws the lakes and rivers that surround the campus flood and you cant even get to classes on the northern section of campus. The worse part of it is EUP is the number one wheelchair accessible school in the country and that place it in the middle of the snowbelt. And living in the dorms is awful. With Edinboro a small town and constant snow, you simply can't leave the campus. It's really a drag. Snow is one of many reasons I'm thinking of transferring to Lock Haven University next fall.

Sorry for the rant. :P

True. What I remember were days where they would let us come to school in the blizzard spend like 3 hours there so they could get the Federal dollars for opening the school and having a partial school day, then send us home at 11am wading through 2 feet of snow. :fiery: I remember once in high school when they KNEW we were going to have a FOOT of snow and that it was going to paralyze the city, they still opened the schools. I had exactly one class then we sat in home room and waited for an hour just sitting there doing NOTHING while the snow fell at 3 inches an hour and waited for them to finally let us go home. :fiery: If they had let us go before wasting that hour we wouldn't have had to walk blocks through snow up to our knees. :banghead: The time wasted was so they could get the money for our attending once again. They endangered the safety of children and teenagers all for the "$" :o Thankfully they are sparing the kids in the school system today the hell of trying to walk home or take a bus or train home in a blizzard, as well as the parents trying to get their kids in the BLIZZARD. :(

About 6" here in Michigan...but I didn't bother coming in to work yesterday. I have a 45 minute commute by car normally and things are slow at work, so I stayed home and got some things done.

I live in Baltimore and I'm loving the snow. I've been out of school all week.

Yeah, but it's not suppose to be anything substantial ( Northern Clipper ). Lets hope the forecast doesn't change for the worse .

I don't see any snow in the forecast for at least the next week! That's the forecast for my area anyway(central PA). Hopefully it stays that way. Had enough of it.

How about 7" in Dallas? I can't remember this much, ever.

I can remember 4 or 5 inches when I was a kid, but nothing like this. It'll all be gone by the weekend.
