View Full Version : Indian Wells: What will 2002 bring?

Dec 30th, 2001, 08:48 AM
The 2001 Indian Wells event was the low point of the tennis season. VENUS and SERENA showed class and strength by being above the low atmosphere that reared its ugly head that awful day.

SERENA has committed to play and I believe that VENUS will definitely NOT appear this year.

The media will unfortunately run tapes of the ugly mob scene on the day of the final over and over, but that is the nature of the broadcast beast.

Hopefully, everyone involved in that experience has gained something positive out of it and this year's tournament will be much more positive.

I can't forget that final match between Serena and Kim, I was so pissed off!!!! Then when Holly Hunter gave the award to our beatiful Serena, everything was ok again.

I hope both sister play again this year, but Venus said she won't come back this year...

I don't know in fact, what will they do.

If I was in Venus' position, I would never come back! It's just one tournament that can be thrown out of her schedule and find two to add, because Indian Wells is a big tournament, but now playing Gold Coast, and maybe one other, will solve the ranking problem.
Secondly, who would go to be booed? Serena got her share for no reason last year.
Hopefully Serena wins again this year, and next year, and the next year, and the year after that, and shows the haters who's da bomb.
Go Serena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Venus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
