-
US Open

September
Kuala Lumpur 220'000$
Pattaya City 220'000$
-
Tokyo 2'000'000$
Seoul 220'000$
-
Beijing 4'500'000$

October
Osaka 220'000$
Athens 220'000$
-
Guangzhou 220'000$
Dubai 220'000$
-
Bali YEC 600'000$

Doha YEC 4'000'000$

It's a lot between AO and IW with 4 premier events, but the finish is in Beijing and the top players have enough rest for Doha. I cancelled Warsaw and one week MM-Events after Wimbly. Of course this schedule is a bit harder, but as you could see it doesn't matter how many premier events there are, the players are still hurt. Everyone could choose where to play.

I say: screw the roadmap entirely and go back to Tier I-V and all that good stuff.

i like your new roadmap idea, but I think it would be better when there are NO tournaments in the week before Grandslams beside 220000$ as we saw it this year with Warschau, Eastbourne and New Haven.

I agree there is no ideal Road Map, players should be allowed to play wherever and whenever they want to. The only exception would be top 10-20 players NOT ALLOWED to play cheap lower Tier events. I think the ranking restriction was enough already.

nice idea, but theres no way dubai will accept being a $220,000 event. The problem is the WTA bends itself over backwards to please anyone who throws money at it. You cant have a streamedline tour thats successful if the main priority is money and pleasing sponsors.

the WTA, for all their talk about the players, are at the point of just using them like robots to fly to here there and everywhere for anyone who offers enough money. if you need any more proof just look at the YEC being in doha in stupid humidity.

Lift the age eligibility rule (or at least lower it by 3-4 years) and let the players play where they want.

Well then cancel Dubai. I really don't care about this Tournament, it doesn't matter how much money they offer. As for those 5 weeks in February, I know there aren't 5 but you guys know what I mean :). Maybe it would be good to make a week between Eastbourne and Wimbly and cancel New Haven.

It should be split into 5 specific seasons:

Australia/Asian Plexicushion
2 x Tier I : SYDNEY & DUBAI

European Clay
2 x Tier I : ROME & MADRID
with PVB, Acapulco and Charleston on green clay in North America early - straight after AO

British/Scandinavian Grass
1 x Tier I : EASTBOURNE

North American Hardcourts
3 x Tier I : MIAMI, CINCINATTI & TORONTO
with Portoroz, Paris etc on hardcourt in Europe early - straight after Wimbledon

Asian/European Indoors
2 x Tier I : MOSCOW & BEIJING
ending with YEC in TOKYO

Tournaments should be Tier I, II, III & VI
"Mandatories" to be abolished
Age Eligability Rule should be abolished, the game is too physical for a 14 year old to succeed anymore

YEC Qualifying
1. Slam Winners
2. Next ranked players to make 7 player field
3. 1 x WC
