Some reach oil sheikh decided to organize a Grand Slam format tournament (128 draw for both men and women) in the same two weeks as Wimbledon held, say in Dubai, and offered twice or three times as much prize money for each round? Do you think any pro players would have jumped the ship of Wimbledon and played Dubai Garros Open instead? Can they do it or are they contractually obligated to play Wimbeldon?

No. Why would anyone want to play in Dubai in July? :weirdo:

P.S. if you're bored, why not read a book or something?

Would YOU play Wimbledon? I'm not quite sure about myself... If I'm a player ranked in say 50 to 100 and with no REALISTIC chance to win Wimbledon title, why would I wan't to forego some extra cash I can make to play for a rich shekh?

You had some Spanish claycourters skipping Wimbledon... why the hell not if it's not on grass?
